This is an authentic Austrian mill dating back to 1688, beautifully transformed into a stylish modern hotel. The fact that it is personally run by the owners’ family makes it even more special. You can truly feel the soul of the place and the personal attention to every detail. Stunning views, complete silence, and a sense of privacy make it an ideal choice for those who prefer the sound of a stream and birdsong over traffic and crowds. The rooms are well-equipped and thoughtfully designed, with very comfortable bedding. and with only a few rooms available, the guesthouse remains a and relaxing retreat. The breakfast is excellent and varied. There is also convenient on-site parking. I haven’t saw yet another place in Austria with such a high level of service and care for guests. Hotel is cute traditional style. Spacious room with storage. They provided free public transport card. Bus stop is just outside hotel. Staff was friendly and informative.

Great location close to bus stop and free parking for rental car in the back. The apartment was basically just a room, bathroom and kitchenette, so there’s no separate seating for the TV like a couch, but we were gone all day every day anyway, so it was ok for our purposes. The kitchenette has everything you need to cook a few meals at home because restaurants tend to be pretty expensive (compared to Greece, where we live). The bed was very comfortable.

Everything was absolutely wonderful from the reception to the checkout. The room and the view were breathtaking, and the hotel’s location is right in the heart of nature. The restaurant was incredibly delicious, and all the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was amazing — everything was homemade. The hotel’s restaurant deserves a 10/10. I highly recommend it for relaxation and rejuvenation. I’m so happy I stayed here:)

Great accommodation, the room was marvelous and fully equipped, and the building seems to have been recently refurbished, giving the hotel a great vibe. The staff were extremely nice.

The Hotel zum Hirschen is Salzburgs oldest family-run hotel, conveniently located in the city center and only a few minutes by foot from the historic old town and the train station.
