We have been to the finest hotels the world over but this little gem outshines most of them in terms of coziness, attention to detail, and hospitality.

Incredible, expansive view of the gorge, rock formations, other cliffside parts of town, and the parador bridge. The hotel is an old palace and retains original simple, quirky character and many antique furnishings. Breakfast is excellent and served in a sunny room overlooking the river valley. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

I picked up the keys at a tiny mercado, which was near to a slightly bigger one, which I went to first. They were kind at both places and helped straighten me out. The place was very cute and had way more than I needed for one night alone.
Because it was so hot, I ended up sleeping on the futon in the living room where the A/C is. It was actually very comfy.
I spent most of the next day in Cuenca, and they let me store my bags at the mercado. And then, despite a language barrier, they helped me call a taxi when I was struggling to call one. I felt very taken care of on my first solo overnight anywhere in Europe.

The apartment was so spacious and nice with everything you would need for a wonderful stay. We booked the attic room which had an amazing balcony overlooking the gorges, mountains, and town. The bathroom was very large with tall ceilings, a modern shower and sink area. There was a fully equipped kitchen with anything you would need to cook meals. I absolutely loved this apartment and wished I could live there!
