A ‘pub’ dinner in a cosy dining room was great, served by really helpful and responsive staff. Best seafood chowder in a long time, reasonably priced also. Very comfortable bed.

The rooms were sparklingly clean, comfortable and a very handy central location. We were able to walk to the Nelson markets. I would be very happy to stay here again.

The view was stunning, we enjoyed the sunset from the terrace and later also from the lounge area inside. The kitchen, bedroom and bathroom were clean, spacious and very well equipped. The info pack with recommendations and background story of the owners gave the stay a personal touch.

It was our first time in Nelson, and we really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very friendly and eager to help when needed. They were very accommodating with check-in because our ferry was canceled, so we had a late check-in. When we arrived, they had left the heater on for us, so we were welcomed into a warm house. The unit is on the same property but very secluded and private. I loved the outdoor seating area; it was very nice to sit and have a coffee in the sun. It was a space our dog enjoyed as well. The theme of the room was lovely and felt very homey. We had everything we needed.

This hostel offers free unlimited Wi-Fi, a log fire in the guest lounge and heaters in all rooms. Guests can relax in the hammock in the garden.
