We loved all of the extras- so much for the kids to do! The breakfast was great, and the family room was very spacious.

Breakfast was good, personnel very kind and helpful, big room with everything we needed, everything was clean, nice and inviting. There seems to be good sound isolation as we did not hear anything from any of the neighboring rooms. Wifi worked perfectly, no issues, same with the TV. Very quiet area and very close (5 minutes walking) to the train station which also has a quite extensive mini-super-market, open until later in the evening. Good pizza place practically next to the hotel, a couple of minutes walk, as well as a bigger supermarket very close too. Nice sitting room(s) if you want to take a break someplace else than in the room. Nice view towards the mountains from the restaurant/terrace. The hotel also has a Confisserie/Tea-Room with delicious sweets and cakes.

I arrived late, at 2045hr, and I texted about this and someone was there waiting for me - as normally checking in is till 1800hr. Rooms were simple and old but clean and functional, great view over the valley. The Gasthoff is situated high up in the mountains, this is a long drive over 1 car wide oads, so do not fast and look ahead - when you see a car approaching in the distance, look for a location that you or the approaching car can use to pass one another. This is fun during the day and the views are great but in the dark less comfortable - altough you see approaching cars much sooner. So when you start driving.... you may think is this the right road because it is so narrow and higher and higher... yes most likely correct because those are the roads you will be on :)

Beautiful cottage - such a lovely Swiss home, with cute goats on the ground floor. They were so cute. We loved it!

Perfect location to explore both the Kander Valley with Lake Öschinenseecand the Lauterbrunnen Valley which can be reached in under 45 minutes. You could even make a day trip to Zermatt or the Saas Valley using the Lötschberg car train. It's a perfect accommodation for small groups up to four people, as its budget friendly and comes with everything you'll need for your stay. There's a large Coop supermarket at five minutes walking time and the fully equipped kitchen make it easy to Sav a lot on eating out. Highly recommended accommodation.

We loved staying here, the location was convenient in the center of town, with wonderful views of the mountains and close to grocery stores, and coffee shops. We also used this place as our base to visit Lauterbrunnen, Interlaken, and Spiez. The place was calm, peaceful and away from tourists.

I have stayed 3 nights in September 2024. Looking at the past reviews, there were complaints about noise and staff. My bed was great. Yes, the floor was a bit squeaky and there is indeed road nearby but this can be easily fixed with earplugs. Washroom very small but does the job. Shower is amazing! Host was great. I told her I would be leaving earlier to go mountains and she had packed up my breakfast in the fridge. Very friendly Food was simple but high quality Location is great Oeschinnen lake gondola is just minutes away, and so is train ferry to Valais. As a bonus, you can sit and enjoy work of speed camera across a street, hehe :)

An unbeatably beautiful and quiet location. The room with breathtaking view on the lake. A large choice of delicious menu items served at the table on the terrasse. Very friendly hosts.
