We especially liked the location and the style of this hotel in old town Wetzlar! It is a half-timbered building that has been modernized, and done so very well. Our room was small, but that can be expected when staying in historic buildings. Despite the size, we did have every thing we needed. It was also neat and tidy! The best part was a little surprise built into the wall, but I will not spoil it here ;)

What an absolut gem of a place! I have stayed in castles before but this fortress was on another level. It was like going back in time. The owners are absolutely amazing and take the time to explain the history of the place. They are restoring this place to what it deserve to be. Best part of my trip for sure .

It is an amazing experience, we went in December and the temperature in the room was great. The owner is very attentive and friendly, she gave us a tour to explore the castle. Breakfast was delicious.

This property is truly a gem and if I return to Wetzlar I will seek to stay here again. Our host was wonderful and very helpful. He was accommodating and went out of his way to care for us and ensure our stay was amazing. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen and bath were great. The location is just step away from Wetzlar Stadium, the beer and wine gardens and of course the flat is tucked into the edge of the Altstadt (old city) near the river. This location could not have been more perfect. The spacious rooms are well kept, clean and nicely furnished. Thank you for a great stay.

The apartment looks just like the pictures. It is clean and tidy, the kitchen is fully equipped with plates, pans, cutlery, etc., Everything is as stated in the description. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood next to a park. Walk down the hill to the right and you will reach the city centre, which is a 1 km walk away. You can turn off the Wi-Fi at night, which we really appreciate. You can park your car off the street in the spacious underground garage. There was also enough space for the two e-bikes we had with us. You can also call the hosts in the evening if you have any questions. just excellent!
