Family hotels and homes in Hakone

My family really loved this hotel. It's really close to the train station, which was very convinient to us and the facilities were very good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff was very nice and profesional. We really enjoyed the onsen and the breakfast that was provided was very complete and diverse. I'll definitely stay a bit longer next time I travel to Hakone.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed at. The service, the food, the room and the location were top notch! We booked the room with a private onsen and we loved it! The room was very comfortable and everything was new and in very good condition! We had breakfast and dinner included, which is highly recommended and necessary since there is nothing nearby to eat. The buffet offered a very good variety and a good mix between western and oriental food. Everything was very tasty and of very good quality! Regarding the facilities, we did not try the public onsen since we had the private one in the room but it was very comfortable and with water from real hot springs! The location is very good, you can easily access everything there is to do in Hakone! (It is necessary to book a transfer with the hotel itself to get there from the main train station, since it is somewhat complicated to get there by public transport)

We booked ‘room with private onsen room selected upon check in’ and we got a room with our own private open air onsen bath. Had an amazing romantic couple of nights with my wife Our rate included traditional kaiseki dinner each night which was amazing and was served right in our room The staff were incredibly kind and helpful- other reviews mention ‘invasion of privacy’ however they were very polite and would knock or prearrange before coming into the room Traditional style ryokan in an onsen town- very well kept tatami rooms

Wow this ryokan was an incredible experience. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was so friendly. The onsen were so nice to just go into after day exploring Hakone. You could walk to the Open Air Museum and the cable car to the sulphur springs were only a couple minutes walk away! The breakfast and dinner were unbelievable. I just loved being able to dress in our samues and kimonos that they offered at the hotel and eat an unbelievably special meal.

This place was the most luxurious I stayed during my time in Japan. Just so professional. Super clean, friendly and even a private onsen for customers to use inside (most days I went there was no one there so it felt very private). Excellent location. Movie nights on Mondays! Walk away from the botanic gardens, right beside the train station. I just had the most wonderful stay here.

Very nice onsen within premises. Shared kitchen and lounge were nice and comfortable. Good beds.

The private onsen was great, the stuff was friendly and helpful, you can see that they try to continuously improve the guest’s experience.

We reserved the free shuttle service in advance from Gora Station, which was very convenient. The staff at the ryokan were very kind and helped explain some sightseeing routes in the area. There is also a 7-Eleven and a sushi restaurant nearby, which made it easy to get food. Considering the price, I am very satisfied with the service provided.

So so so beautiful and the staff was amazing only stayed for a night before heading off to my next location but would definitely stay another night to explore Hakone. Tried new foods I normally wouldn’t eat as well which was a great experience as well 🙂‍↕️

The hotel is in a beautiful location. We used the shuttle bus a few times which was very quick and easy and we walked back from the train once. We weren't sure which room we would get as it was a "leave it to us" option, with an outdoor private hotspring bath. We got a Japanese room which was exceptional. The bath was amazing and very relaxing. The staff were superb and the meals were incredible. We had so many new Japanese foods to try and they were all presented so beautifully.

Loved the location - bus stop was outside the property. Yunessun (onsen) across the street and 2 family marts. 10 min walk to Gora and Hakone Open Air Museum. Nestled in the mountains with a stunning garden and view. Amenities were great - onsen was beautiful and so clean. Breakfast and dinner were incredible! Blown away by the choices and suitable for all dietary requirements. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything you could need. I booked the day before arriving and for the price, it was a steal! ($800 CAD for 3 nights with breakfast and dinner included - other places were $1500+)

The room is big and as appeared in the booking pictures. Amenities were plenty. Staffs were super friendly and they tried their best with communication even they don't speak English. Location was in walking distance from train station without baggage. Not difficult to find when driving.

Staff were very accommodating. Kaiseki dinners were great, with the kitchen staff explaining everything perfectly. Onsens (both private and public) were great, with complimentary refreshments being a great bonus (coffee milk, yakult, ice cream). Massages were incredibly rejuvenating, and easily booked via the front-desk. Shuttle bus from the ryokan to the station was incredibly convenient.

We had a beautiful view of Mt Fuji from our deck. Beds were also very comfortable. The buffet was awesome.

Outstanding hotel.. Our room was beautiful. It had a separate toilet, a lovely onsen which was large enough and deep enough for a large Westerner. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and each was delicious. If you need transfers book them as soon as you arrive as the bus fills up quickly.

Absolutely incredible experience! From food to facilities everything was spot on. Worth every cent!

While the buildings themselves are beautiful and I loved the outside onsen, it was the staff who made staying here truly exceptional experience. They were like a thought - whenever I wondered where should I go next, or that I wanted to put a used plate to the side, they just appeared and helped and did exactly what was needed. We also had a tricky food restriction (gluten free) and yet they were able to accommodate us which is unheard of in Japan. Thank you to all staff for their hard work!
