This resort is absolutely stunning, all the way from staff through superb gastronomy, lovely surroundings, to cleanliness, etc... We stayed here in January, everyday different food menu, lovely drinks and high quality (we recommend all inclusive), everyday transfer to Kiwengwa beach managed by the hotel, visit to the nearby village and school and many activities... We definitely recommend to everyone to come to this piece of paradise! Every single one of the team is going above and beyond to make you feel welcome and enjoy the time staying here. The property has: 1. A fantastic location and easy accessibility, exactly what I had wished for. Pongwe is a quiet place for resting and relaxing. 2 A breathtaking Indian Ocean observation view from the apartment 3. A restaurant with convenient open hours, 10 AM-10 PM, underneath the property, with tasty dishes at reasonable prices. 4. Friendly and polite staff. 5. A tasty breakfast incl. fruits, fresh juice, etc.

Almost two weeks at The Nest in Pongwe and it was one of our best holidays. The location is perfect for relaxation, peace, and feeling safe, while still allowing you to experience the authentic side of Zanzibar. Cleanliness is excellent, the rooms are well maintained, and all of them have an ocean view, which is a big plus. The Infinity pool is beautiful and ideal for relaxing moments, overseeing the ocean. The food is very good, and the staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, especialy Stephan the Chief of staff. He provided great recommendations for local attractions such as the Spice Farm and the Stone Town tour, and also helped organize excursions, including an unforgettable Mikumi Safari. The airport transfer was well organized by Stephan. Overall, The Nest in Pongwe is a wonderful choice for couples looking for a relaxing and intimate stay. We highly recommend it and would happily return. Excellent value for money!

you are on the beachfront and in the Jungle the same time

Everything at Marafiki Bungalows was exceptional. We ate all our meals there and everything was made from scratch - a variety of freshly baked pastries in the morning, fresh bread in the evening, home-made jams, fresh seafood, etc.. It was so delicious. There were sufficient sun-loungers and day beds for all the guests.

I have been to Zanzibar many times and stayed in different high-level hotels, and I can confidently say — this hotel is one of the best! 🔥 Excellent value for money and very pleasant service. We traveled as a big group, and everyone was absolutely delighted! A special thank you to the manager Emanuel, who was extremely attentive to every detail and always friendly. And also a huge thank you to the owner of the hotel, who was present during our stay and made it especially enjoyable. The staff is attentive and always quick to respond to any request. The atmosphere is very friendly, and you truly feel like a welcome guest. Rooms are kept very clean. Breakfasts may not have a huge variety, but everything is always fresh, tasty, and more than enough — exactly what you need to start the day with a nice meal and a beautiful view 🌴 The hotel grounds are wonderfully green and well maintained, with two large swimming pools and plenty of comfortable sunbeds. The beach is beautiful, especially at high tide, and even at low tide it looks picturesque in its own way. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and bungalow-style — very cozy. Nearby there are small shops and nice cafés, and the hotel itself is located right next to the famous Kiwengwa Beach.

Our stay was honestly amazing — probably one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The staff were super friendly, really thoughtful, and made us feel special the whole time. The resort is gorgeous, with beautiful gardens, stunning ocean views, plenty of privacy, and clean, comfy, luxurious rooms. The food was incredible too — every meal felt like a treat. Tulia is one of those places you just never want to leave.

Everything about the space feels premium and comfortable. 2. Beautiful Pool & Common Areas The pool is gorgeous, relaxing, and perfectly maintained. All common areas are aesthetically pleasing, serene, and designed for comfort. 3. Restaurant-Level Food & Outstanding Cocktails The food exceeded every expectation. Even with All-Inclusive, you’re not getting buffet-style meals—you’re dining à la carte, choosing dishes from a full menu, prepared fresh by the chef. The cocktails were equally impressive: balanced, creative, and delicious. 4. Incredible Staff & Service This is where the hotel truly shines. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. You can feel that both management and the team truly care about their guests—and that level of sincerity is rare and priceless. 5. A Five-Star Experience (Even if It Says Four) I’m honestly surprised this is rated as a four-star hotel. The service, design, food, and overall experience easily match a five-star level. I would return without hesitation. This place is truly special.

The property has a nice view, is the first facing the ocean, the villa is spacious, comfortable beds, nice furnish. A chef that will prepare you food will come every morning, and he is doing nice work.

The property is absolutely stunning - such a peaceful place with amazing surroundings. But what impressed us more was the hospitality of Davies and Paola. They were very flexible with early check-in/late check-out and payment settlement. Davies was always around for anything we may ask! Super attentive, hospitable, and helpful. We really felt like guests at someone’s home. We definitely recommend this option for stay in Zanzibar - the reality will exceed your expectations.

Wonderful place with the most beautiful, safe beach, perfect water and comfy sun beds, great beach bar/restaurant open until late. Delicious food. The kindest, most helpful hotel staff. Close to a few shops, pharmacy and ATMs. Best hotel out of 4 I’ve stayed at in Zanzibar, great value for money.

The hotel is located next to the sea with a sand beach. It has two facilities located ~100m from each another and the guests are free to use both. Just for you to know, you will be bothered with lots of locals trying to sell stuff as in the most of the beaches in Zanzibar. But let me say what I liked at the hotel: - Very friendly staff. We were checked-in a bit earlier and they offered us a free room upgrade and overall the stuff was very attentive to any needs we might possibly have. They have a local board game called Bao. One of the staff member showed us how to play and it was very nice and interesting. - Restaurants. Delicious meals and drinks - Comfy Rooms. - Great and clean pool (which you need when the sea is in low tide)

Everything about this hotel is amazingly exceptional from the front desk to the ambiance , staff customer care, wide range of breakfast options. The beautiful rooms .. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is very close to the beach, the choice of breakfasts are excellent , and always fresh fruits, fresh juices and sweets. There is a TV with the ability to watch Netflix, which is very pleasing. Cleaning every day. 100 % recommend. It was a place to relax, felt safe, calm, Very clean. Basically no mosquitos. Very nice food including breakfast. Very nice staff, especially Roberta. Not a lot of rooms, so cozy, everyone has their own little terrase. Pool is also great and clean. The owner has two funny dogs that keep you smile :D
