Our time in Setterhouse was a fantastic getaway from the stress and hub bub of city life. It has all of the ammenities and welcome of a typical bed and breakfast, with all of the warmth and affability of a country home. The owners of the property were exceptionally hospitable and kind; it may sound cliché, but they literally welcomed us like family! (I found myself getting sad when it was time to leave) The property has a great view of the valley, it's especially beautiful at sunset with the sun setting behind the mountains across the way. The food served at Setterhouse was yummy and fresh, the panna cotta with caramel sauce was particularly delightful. The location is also very good, you can walk from the property to the ancient city of Trevi in about 10 minutes. And of course, we had the singular pleasure of being surrounded by tons of dogs. Most of these furry friends were very sweet and sociable, they really enjoyed being petted and loved on. In fact, the first day I was sitting on some steps and one of the dogs, Emma, crawled into my lap and we cuddled for probably 30 minutes, she was so precious. Some of the dogs were more standoffish, but they did warm up to us throughout the week. If you're in this part of Italy and you love dogs, this place is an easy choice. Come and stay here!
