The room is perfect and surprisingly quiet. We were above the restaurant and I expected it to be quite noisy but I slept like a baby. To be fair, I always carry ear plugs, but there have been plenty of places I have stayed and the noise permeates through them. I didnt hear a peep at Roccamaia. And about the restaurant - I know I am only an American, but I have eaten my way across Italy a few times and this is the best food I have EVER tasted in my life. Every dish was incredible and perfectly cooked. I now understand how people can die of gluttony. I was completely full and gadly would have ordered more just to keep tasting the food. The hosts were incredibly kind and thoughtful, very communicative and put on a fantastic breakfast. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Large unit, clean, and comfortable with stunning views from the balcony/patio. Remote, peaceful location, perfect for relaxation, yet close to several pretty mountain villages. Owners are friendly, helpful and responsive. Breakfast is home cooked and delicious, and the restaurant offers great home cooked dinners (note that there are few quality alternatives in Penna San Giovanni).
