The most beautiful stay - the room was stunning, the hotel grounds are gorgeous (especially in autumn!) and they catered to our dietary requirements with a delicious vegetarian breakfast. The private onsen was such a treat too. The hotel is just a short walk to the gorgeous snow monkeys too which was so much fun. The staff are truly so welcoming. Make sure you buy a delicious, big apple from the sweet man selling fruit in the lobby some mornings!!!!!

Excellent hotel in Yamanouchi. We appreciated the staff (and their level of English), the super nice traditional rooms (sleeping on a futon was a wonderful experience), the upstairs public bath and the delightful breakfast.

A 3-minute walk from Yudanaka Station, Hotel Tsubakino features indoor and outdoor hot spring baths with a vista of snowy mountain peaks. The hotel offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi.

The ryokan was beautiful, the room was large and there were many amenities for the guests.

The breakfast and dinner at the hotels are fantastic. Definitely will recommend to include it in your package, especially since it is a bit iffy on the availability of restaurants in the area. (For lunch, you could still try Shibu Onsen or get something from the nearby Lawson. We were only able to find one restaurant that was open at 1 pm and they close at 2 pm so we didn't try to look further) The onsen in the hotel is fantastic. They rotate the male and female daily so you can experience both sides if you are there for at least 2 days. (The one on the right is better in my opinion)

Neighboring the Shigakogen Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort, Shigakogen Prince Hotels boast a 24-hour front desk, free Wi-Fi at public areas and ski equipment hire on site.

This wonderful hotel is a heaven in so many ways. From the design of the house, which is in a fantastic condition, to the food experience until the onsen and all the amazing staff who look so well after you. The location is a traditional and quite town that gives an image of Japan. I highly recommend to come in winter for the beautiful scenery and to book half board as there are only few outside options nearby the hotel. Big compliments to the amazing staff at the hotel - they will ensure for a fantastic experience! Thanks to all of them.
