I liked everything! The location is so beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by rice fields. The restaurant is delicious, and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. I stayed somewhere else before in Bukit Lawang, but Gino's place was much better in every point, and actually cheaper. It is the perfect place to rest after a tiring trek :)

I liked everything! The room was spacious and clean, the bed was super comfy, my private outside space was huge and beautiful. The staff were always friendly and smiley and incredibly helpful. The food was delicious and the coffee was hot. I was made to feel very welcome. The hotel is located in a beautiful spot by the river and within walking distance of the jungle, a paradise that I didn't want to leave. My guide wisnu (Nu) was fabulous, he made my holiday absolutely perfect. He took me to the best places and was always happy, smiley and friendly, with lots of knowledge of the area. Not just a guide to me now, I also consider him a friend. He's given me some of my best memories and I can't thank him enough. I highly recommend Junia hotel to everyone. I'm a solo traveler, but this place is perfect for couples and families alike. I genuinely did not want to leave and as soon as I can, I will be back. Thank you guys for everything xxx

The guesthouse is in an amazing location, on the shore of the river. The rooms are cosy and have a nice terrace facing the river. Andy and his bother were very nice and helpful all the time. The banana pancakes for breakfast are delicious.

I loved staying here so much! It is literally IN THE JUNGLE and we could see monkeys from our room!!! I also took a 3 day trek in the Jungle with the owner and his team! We had the time of our lives and saw Orangutans, monkeys and amazing birds! Putra , our host, made sure to help us see wildlife as much as possible and took us to locations nearby to see Orangutans. His wife Maya is sooooo friendly and an absolutely amazing cook! We ate so much delicious food right at the accommodation which has a restaurant attached. We also got to meet other members of the family and the team and spend lovely time with them. There is a wonderful, crystal clear, jungle river nearby in walking distance to cool off and have a swim and plenty of adorable animals to watch. A huge plus is that the bed is super comfy and the whole accommodation is newly built and very clean.

The hotel was very clean, had a massive bed with a mosquito net with no holes. The bathroom and shower were huge. The porch had an awesome view right along the river which was great for watching the rain storms and trekkers coming down the river. There’s a prime swimming spot just across the grassy gnoll. It was also a very quiet part of the river so it was often pretty tranquil and relaxing. The staff was great. Thomas checked in regularly and arranged everything for us, he also allowed us to put everything on a tab and pay by card at the end and since there are no ATMs in the village this was a huge help. The food was good and quick and open pretty late. The internet only ever got spotty during torrential rainstorms and even then mostly held out. The AC worked flawlessly. We also did our trek through them and Ren and Arnold were amazing. They were so knowledgeable, friendly, and understanding. The trek was difficult but incredibly rewarding. One of us got sick and Renwa worked with us to adjust our trek so we could still have fun catch some rare animals while making sure the sick person had a quick and easier trek back to the hotel. We saw 90% of the animals on the Bukit Lawang Bucket List. And the food we had for dinner on the Trek was the best meal I’ve had in Indonesia so far which considering we were in the jungle was very impressive. Property was clean and overlooked the river view. My stay was excellent, and I also booked the jungle trek with them. It was absolutely amazing, and it was their own business. So it was a small group. Ricky and Anto were great with taking care of us. You should really try this activity! It’s very very worth it, and rest assured you are in good hands.

It's a quiet paradise in the jungle, where you can see a big orangutan in the morning ... right behind your room.

Putra and his family are great hosts and really take care of you. The accommodation itself is basic but it’s everything you need for your short stay.

This guesthouse is truly a gem, Brian makes sure you have an amazing stay! You can tell he really cares about his guests. The room and bathroom are very clean and comfortable. The food is incredible too (plenty of vegan and vegetarian options)! I did a 2 night jungle trek with them as well and everything was very well organised, great food and fruit on the trek, comfortable campsites by the river and close to a waterfall. You could tell that the guide really enjoyed being in nature, he had so much knowledge about the animals and plants and made us feel really safe. I got a bee sting and he had magic oil that made the sting disappear in just 30 min! I had a really great stay and trek with Brian and his team and definitely recommend them and would definitely come back one day! :)

Everything ! Romy pick me up in the bus stop and bring me to the hotel, the room was huge, the matress comfortable and the views ... Speechless. I think u can ask for hot water cause they offer me but i rejected, the weather is super hot and i was so grateful to get warm water. The breakfast was hamble but enough for me, they made vegetarian dish for me. I strongly recomend this new acomodation.

During 3 days in the forest we were very satisfied with the great guide service. We saw many orangutans, monkeys, peacocks and other animals.

We stay 4 nights in total. Everything was perfect. The family is very kind and helpful. The restaurant is very good and cheap.

The staff are so kind and friendly, really made the experience great. Sarah was very communicative during the booking process too. Eli the chef is really talented, we wished we could have eaten more there!

This is the perfect place to experience the real jungle! The hike is a bit hard with carry on luggage but if you are bringing hiking backpacks you will be fine…the rooms are very comfortable and clean and the food is amazing…is located by the river so at night you sleep with the noise of the water running and they also have a great spot to go on the water, we really enjoyed that! We extended our stay one more night to enjoy the place and it was completely worth it! The staff is amazing…thanks so much for making our stay so special 🙏

What a beautiful setting and scenery! I loved being out of town in the noises of the jungle. And what was even better than the beauty of the place was the staff - thanks Risky! And to Gibran (plus his dad Wanda) for an epic jungle trek. Added plus the food was excellent. 10/10 - would go back again!

Good location. Laundry service was helpful. Balcony and views of the river were good.
