We absolutely Love the owners. This place is fabulous!!!!

Kontani-san is the most caring host we met on our 3 week adventure in Japan and the house has an unforgettable character! He gave us plenty of local recommendations on where to eat and where to go (also created custom made itinerary for us) and was always open for our questions. Thanks to him we were able to get to know Japanese culture a little deeper. We had lovely tastings with him in the sake bar which is also located in the house and will never forget this stay!

The hosts are incredibly kind. They were very understanding and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay (help with late check in, restaurant reservations, etc.) Thank you for hosting us!

Spacious, featuring a lovely sauna, private balcony with outdoor seating, and private open air bath! Smart TV and comfortable couch, big bed, cute lighting and stylish decor, all the essential kitchen appliances and more, quiet location with in walking distance of convenience/grocery stores and historic parts of town with great restaurants!

It was a traditional Japanese house - the whole house, not a room in a house. Easily room for 5-6 people. There were 2 of us. Our host, Yumiko, was wonderfully attentive. She coordinated with us in advance, picked us up at the train station, and even dropped us off again at the end of our stay. She sent us a note the morning after our first night, just to check in.

An amazing Ryokan, wonderful hosts. A perfect traditional room, spotless and very well kept. Warm, friendly and helpful owners. Walking distance to the Samurai district and a short bus trip to the market

The location is walking distance to the temple district, samurai district, the smaller of two geisha districts, and Katamachi (which is the heart of the city. It was a contactless check-in through video chat. The instructions on how to check in/out were very clear. Breakfast is available for a small fee- just enough to get you started for the day. Room was traditional Japanese, but upgraded with nice amenities. Futons were comfy and came with thick, cozy blankets. It was perfect for us:)

Great location - a short bus ride away from Kanazawa station. Unlike Kyoto, we were able to bring our 20-inch suitcases into the bus. Pleasant apartment - it was spacious and had whatever you need for a wonderful stay in Kanazawa. Lastly, the room was clean and well-maintained.

This was a spacious,very well appointed accommodation in a central, quiet location , with especially helpful and kind owners. My departure was delayed by heavy rainfall but the owner insisted I take an umbrella.
