Lovely staff, great common area, location is okay

A lovely hostel with great facilities. Very clean shared bathroom facilities. Lovely cafe/bar area. Perfect location, walking distance to the peace park. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Best hostel we stayed in.

Really nice place to stay in Hiroshima, really close to the main train station, easy walking to see the city. Also the place is really nice, people working there was really helpful and with a nice vibe.

I liked the big shower area and the spacious room. Very comfortable to have the self laundry on the groundfloor. The common area is also equipped with everything you need. Staff is funny and friendly!

The owner is really nice and knows a lot of things about Hiroshima.

Really enjoyed it here, staff were super friendly and even helped with my learning of Japanese. Rika was especially accommodating and helpful with suggestions.

The World Friendship Center was so much more than just a clean, well-priced place to spend a night in Hiroshima. The two American hosts were lovely and offered conversation and an educational experience about the peace work that has been happening in Hiroshima since the atomic bombing, including setting up tours with local Japanese guides. This was definitely a highlight of my time in Hiroshima. There was a choice of Western style or tatami mat beds. I stayed on a tatami mat for the first time and felt that it was very comfortable and the room was spacious. It was nice to have an individual heater/AC in the room to adjust the temperature. The breakfast was simple, but adequate, with a variety of local, fresh fruit offered. They also offered hot tea or instant coffee at any time of day. Heads up that this feels a bit more like a hostel, since the bathroom area is shared. It was easy to get to with public transit and well located, just a 10 min walk to the Peace Park and to larger shopping/eating areas. There are some other nearby cafes and restaurants, although I didn't visit any of them. I would definitely recommend the World Friendship Center if you are looking for a unique experience in Hiroshima.

The house is really nice and located on the edge of the city. We were lucky enough to be the only ones staying in the house, but even our room alone was spacious and comfortable. The host was very friendly and spoke English very well, which made our lives a bit easier as well.
