I think the house was designed with Feng Shui in mind, as it's so comfortable and soothing. The studio rooms are so carefully designed, and everyone's needs are within one open space. The bathtubs are some of the best in CT - you can lie in a hot bath and look out to the mountains and down at Hout Bay valley and watch the sunset. And then sit on your private terrace and have a braai and sip a cocktail. There are only three studios, ideal for long-term stays in a beautiful, quiet, tranquil location. The overall design of the house is an eccontric mix of antique and modern pieces of furniture. Really a special spot!

Everything, the view, security, facility

Convenient location, surrounded by lush greenery, with the air filled with its beautiful, fresh scent. The terrace offers stunning views of the mountains and the sea. The rooms themselves are full of character, preserving their authentic atmosphere. They are very comfortable to stay in and immaculately clean. Martin and Sue are incredibly welcoming and caring hosts. They serve the best breakfasts in the world. We stayed here during the New Year holidays and truly felt like we were at our parents’ home.

Staying here was a real pleasure, the hosts were great and it is absolutely beautiful.

Much cheaper that the nearby Camps Bay. Once you have a car (and it is always a neccessity in Cape Town) the longer distance from the CT centre does not make much difference.

The Vyn Guest house provides more than 5 star hospitality, they are an exceptionally curated luxury guest house. The House itself is tastefully designed and situated on the picturesque hills of hout bay overlooking the ocean and hidden amongst the hills. The house could easily be featured on the architectural digest and I commend the couple for such a beautiful house. Beyond this, Martina and Klaus’s hospitality remains unmatched - providing warmth and professionalism - that leaves one feeling that you are part of their greater family. The house is exceptionally clean, offers a tasteful and diverse in-house breakfast, and the staff is very warm and professional. I would highly recommend this house - and I look forward to coming back to experience the beauty of CapeTown😃🍾🥂

Our stay at Bluemari's Retreat was an absolute delight from start to finish. It is a luxury retreat in every way... a beautiful house and garden in a quiet and safe location which exudes calm and serenity. All rooms are stylish and well equipped with comfy beds, quality bed linen and top notch bathrooms. The outdoor bath in Flamingo is fabulous. The pool area, dining room, lounge and library are beautiful too and we were made to feel so 'at home'. EVERYTHING is of the highest quality and EVERYWHERE is immaculate. Huge thanks to Jan and Evelyne who are superlative hosts, so charming and so efficient with great knowledge of the area. Serving the most delicious breakfasts including perfect poached eggs and omelettes, helping with recommendations for restaurants and adding many personal touches that made our stay so memorable. From homemade biscuits, a cellar of superb wines and a handy phone charger by the kettle to Christmas gifts and music on Christmas morning and an invitation to a braai on our last night. The best hotels just cannot match the style, charm and serenity of Bluemari's Retreat. If you are planning to stay near Cape Town, you must stay here!

Meggie was so kind and helpful throughout our stay, the guesthouse and our room, Moyo suite, and has all the necessary facilities and gives you that warm african vibe, we appreciate the gifts for our honeymoon a lot, couldn’t love it more! Definitely recommend.

The unit itself is stunning and the facilities are genuinely lovely, which makes it all the more frustrating that the experience fell so far short of the price point (R3,500 per night).

You can truly feel that they take pride in what they do and want you to leave with the best possible memories. The house itself is absolutely stunning, with next-level comfort and breathtaking views from both the room and the balcony. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, the perfect spot to experience everything Cape Town has to offer.
