I was contacted before I arrived with details on how best to find the guesthouse on arrival. I was arriving early but was available for me to self check in then go out to explore. Was given easy directions to find the castle which didn't take long. Amazing communication. I got a taxi up from the bus station which wasn't very expensive . It was very hot so was glad if the taxi. 45 minutes to walk up the hill from bus station.Beautiful views from the communal sitting area, private balcony was great for having a coffee on. Breakfast was at the time I requested and had plenty to eat. I was going back to Tirana and the host kindly packed up some of my breakfast for my journey.

The room is super clean and comfortable with all that one needs! We got personal attention and care and they accommodated our vegan needs. All done with a smile! We dined in their restaurant among trees in the beautiful garden.

It was a great stay, and the hosts were absolutely charming. The hotel has only four rooms and truly feels like staying at your grandparents’ home — cozy, welcoming, and full of character. We truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Everything you could need was there and more. The hotel also had modern amenities, including good high-speed Wi-Fi and a modern bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a mini fridge in the room. The bathroom was well equipped with toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The lovely terrace was the perfect place to enjoy the homemade breakfast prepared by the hosts. Simply wonderful. There is also a garage for parking, which is a great added bonus. The walk to the main area of town takes around ten minutes, and the route is very pleasant. Highly, highly recommended!

Great location and lovely hosts!

Everything about our stay was just right. The room was clean and comfortable, the location was convenient, and the atmosphere was peaceful. What stood out most, though, was the warm and welcoming attitude we were met with from the moment we arrived.

Breakfast was amazing, traditional Albanian, with lots of choice and very good coffee. The owners were super helpful and went above and beyond to help us with the unexpected requirement of needing to get our boarding passes printed. The Guesthouse is a traditional Gjirokastra property, with a lovely private courtyard and garden in a quiet spot, but really well located for the Bazaar and the castle (about 5 mins uphill) There is parking just above the guesthouse on the road, which was very convenient.

We loved the location, it was right in the old town, also the couple were so so helpful, using translate we were able to communicate , what a great welcome, it was a 30 minute walk uphill, but we love to walk so we enjoyed that, the old town is amazing , with lots of decent priced restaurants, we stayed 2 nights , which was perfect to see all we wanted to see Would definitely recommend this little guest house if you are looking for a homely atmosphere, there is a shared bathroom that we shared with one other couple , coffee was available for only 0.80 cents

Amazing breakfast! Good location and great hosts

The stay was perfect! The location is great, close to the historic center and yet completely silent and calm. The bedroom and the bed are both super comfy, breakfast is insanely good, but nothing compares to the hospitality of this amazing family! Arber offered to take us to the bus station, and as if that wasn’t kind enough, he took us to see a lake I mentioned wanting to visit on the way. During our stay, he, his lovely mother, and adorable father were the best hosts we could have hoped for. And we can’t forget the cutest cat, Kiko, who played with us all the time ❤️ thank you so much Arber, it was a pleasure staying with you!

Fantastic house, spotless clean. The location is convenient. The view is amazing. The breakfast was really local and tasty. The lady didn't speak English, but she was super kind. Definitely recommended.

The room was very clean, the location was perfect. The host lady was very kind. She allowed us to do an early check-in as well as leave our bags for hours after check-out time. The breakfast was delicious!
