My hostess, Jackie, was warm and wonderful. She fixed a really good breakfast every morning, then asked what my plans were for the day and offered helpful suggestions. She helped me hire a taxi for a couple hours to do some sightseeing.

The property is very close to the town and the ferry so definitely walkable but note it is does end with a challenging hill. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and I couldn't ask for more in that respect. The bedroom and private bathroom were very clean and tidy, noting a short stretch of shared corridor between the two. The bed was comfy and the house/neighbourhood were quiet so I slept well. This was my first time in a home-stay type setting and would definitely recommend it and would do it again where there is an obvious cost difference to equivalently positioned hotels.

Fun Cadillac themed decor and amazing 1950s American diner where we had breakfast. The two rooms we had were great, very comfortable and with good sea views. Would go back.
