Very new modern clean comfortable room. With lovely outlook onto colourful garden. Modern bathroom facilities, excellent hot water shower. Very tasty meals, lots of tropical fruit. The owner is a perfect host, very attentive, available and keen to please.

The owner was very helpful and attentive. He made sure my stay was comfortable. 5 mts walk to the city center. Steep climb to the property, I took a tuck tuck only US 0.50 cents from the train station. Owner arranged for breakfast and dinner at a restaurant next door.

This place is truly wonderful. The house itself is beautifully designed and built. You can tell that a lot of care went into it, and everything feels high-quality and comfortable. The garden is incredibly peaceful, and the natural spring is just magical. The beds are super comfortable, and the rooms and the entire house are as clean as a 5-star hotel. There's a really nice atmosphere about the whole place. The location is great too. It's quiet and relaxing, but it's also only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and downtown Hatton. Nana, the owner and host, is fantastic. He used to play on the Sri Lankan national football team, which makes for great stories. He's really welcoming and makes you feel at home, but he also knows when to give you space. The food he cooks is delicious, and he always gives generous portions. He's a really interesting and fun person to talk to. He's happy to help you with anything you need and really looks out for his guests. He's also a trained physical therapist, so he gave me a great massage. After a few days hiking the Pekoe Trail, it was exactly what I needed. If you're hiking Adam's Peak, he even packs a lunch for you. I don't usually write reviews like this, but I honestly can't recommend Ulpatha enough. The house itself is easily a 10, and Nana's hospitality makes it even better. I wish I could give it 20 stars! If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, you should definitely consider Ulpatha.

A clean and spacious room/home. Good location in Hatton. The owner was super friendly and caring. He helped me organize my trip to Adam’s peak and my next destination. Everything was the best! Perfect, nice and clean accommodation with wonderfull view to garden full of flowers and to nice landscape. You can eat and rest on the balcony. The breakfast and dinner were really delicious and big. Owners of homestay are nice, kind and polite people. If you have to decide where to stay, this is really the best place in Sri Lanka.

We stayed for three nights at trinish homestay and absolutely loved it! The owner is super friendly and so helpful. He picked us up from the train station and had dinner ready for us. The food was amazing. He took us to Adam’s Peak / Sri Padaya and waited there for us while we were hiking for 5 hours. The room is a bit old and damp but would 10 out of 10 recommend 😍

My friend and I are really grateful to have met this lovely family and to have stayed in their beautiful home! If it was possible, we would rate this homestay 1000/10. The rooms are clean and offer a stunning view. Further all the facilities are super good & the owner even organised a scooter for us. However, nothing tops the generous breakfast! We also highly recommend to eat dinner at this homestay, it has been the best we‘ve eaten so far in Sri Lanka. We will definitely remember this special place!!

Saman and Semila were great hosts! The location is very convenient- you could walk to the tea plantations within minutes and Saman arranged a TukTuk for us to do part of the Pekoe trail. We got tea and cookies when we arrived and the breakfast (with a beautiful view and sunrise from the terrace) and dinner were just amazing!
