Beautiful space with a garden courtyard, filled with flowers and butterflies. View of the sacred mountain el picacho. Peaceful hammocks for relaxing in the afternoon and evening. Sound of crickets and distant village music lulled us to sleep. Quietest place I have ever stayed in Mexico. The proprietors are a sweet family with kind faces, and we enjoyed talking with their young daughter in the morning.

The price was exceptional and so was the stay and service!..we felt right at home...we did not even want to leave....thank you Luz!

The plants are definitely the most amazing thing in the spot, they are so welcoming, fresh, they make u feel in the nature even if u are in the middle of town. After that the installations, colors, and decorations are ON TOP!!! I’ve never been in a hotel/hostel that has been so clean, pure and well maintained.

Cleaniness, great staff and most kind staff they gave me so much information on how to trabsfer. They let me store my luggages while traveling. They have locker, super hot water. One of the best hotels

Attractive clean well decorated hostel, with great artistic touches everywhere, even an elephant statue in a bathroom. Gourmet free breakfasts and superb chefs. Hot water. Firm beds. Comfortable lounge area. A great outdoor tented taqueria right across the street, with excellent chicken-vegetable soup some nights, open until 2 for latecomers. Near a big local market. Wonderful vibe and staff..

Loved this place and I intend to come back again soon. Hector and his girlfriend were the sweetest, most helpful people. I will recommend to anyone going to Oaxaca!

The host is excellent quick response Location is in safe and quiet area, walkable to center. The room is in the rooftop wbich has a good view of the city and the mountain. Everhthing is provides in the kitchen. The bedroom is comfortable and clean.

You step outside the door, turn the corner, and suddenly you’re walking straight into the heart of Oaxaca — toward the town square, through lively streets, past colorful markets and everyday local life. You are truly in the center of it all, yet remarkably protected from the noise and chaos that often comes with such a privileged location. The apartment itself feels like a sanctuary. The private courtyard off the bedroom is absolutely magical — quiet, intimate, and grounding. It’s the kind of space where time slows down. The kitchen, living room, and bedroom are all impeccably designed and incredibly comfortable. Every detail has been carefully considered: from the dishes and flatware to the bedding, which deserves special mention. The sheets are unbelievably soft — like butter on your skin — and made every night’s sleep feel luxurious. LA CASITA is housed in one of the area’s historic buildings, with soaring, beautiful ceilings that add a sense of elegance and authenticity. Despite being in the very heart of the city, it felt completely private — a true apartment, not just a place to sleep. The owners are a family-run business, and their warmth and care are evident in every interaction. From the moment you meet them, you feel genuinely welcomed. Opening the refrigerator to find fresh water, sodas, and apples was such a thoughtful touch — small gestures that speak volumes. They go beyond anything I’ve experienced elsewhere. And then there’s the price — incredibly reasonable for the quality, location, and experience offered. Honestly, I could stay here forever if life didn’t call me back home. I almost hesitate to give such a glowing review because this place deserves to be a well-kept secret.
