Homestays in Zambujeira do Mar

Rosa and family run a very clean and comfortable hotel in Zambujeira. We enjoyed the location, very convenient to the Vicentina Fisherman’s Trail and lovely beach in town. Rosa’s restaurant by the same name, Sol Dourado, is a few blocks away and provided us a delightful experience dining on beautifully prepared prawns, fish and percebis, the small local shellfish. Breakfast also was delicious. Their service at the restaurant and hotel was outstanding!

Beautiful house with balcony to watch sunset, enormous modern kitchen, right on the beach, great hot shower, would happily stay here for a week or two.

The self check-in went smoothly, it was very clean and comfortable inside. WiFi was working well (it was important for me to connect to a lesson the next day). Nice location. There was a refrigerator in the room (may be important for the hikers).

This place is one-in-a-million. I had heard and read about it a couple of years ago on a trip down through the Alentejo coast, and drove by it. But, actually being there, seeing the place, and spending the evening with fellow travellers and our host, wow.

We had to take an Uber to get here after a day on the Fisherman's Trail but it was well worth it. A true country getaway, next to a small farm, with a pond filled with birdsong, and a refreshing swimming pool to cool off in. The bed was big and comfy. A tasty and varied breakfast buffet filled us up for the next day of walking. We felt so refreshed and felt that we got to experience a little taste of Portuguese country life while refuelling our batteries. High recommended.

It was comfortable and clean. It was nice to have some space for myself.

The house and rooms are beautifully decorated, and we instantly felt at home relaxing on the porch sofa. Breakfast was simply divine

Koenraad and Kristof were the best hosts we have ever come across, it is clean the food and hospitality was excellent as was the location , probably one of the best places we have ever stayed at in the world for attention to detail and friendliness. It is in a very remote location with lots of sounds of nature around, and complete darkness if you want to see the stars at night. Very peaceful, perfect for writers or groups of friends wanting a villa to themselves in the countryside. The sunset rays filtering into the room was absolutely stunning. Cute cottage vibes. The owner was nice enough to share recommendations for nearby restaurants (there aren't many, but I had the best shrimps of my life in the place she recommended).

The rooms and restaurant are amazing. Mario was outstanding. Wonderful view of the beach that is only a short walk away. The breakfast was delicious more than enough for a long day of hiking. If you are hiking the Fisherman's or Historic Trail this is definitely the place to stay.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The highlight was the incredible view from the private terrace, which is actually the rooftop of the building. It even has a barbecue, although we didn’t use it. The room also included a refrigerator, and the shower had excellent water pressure. Breakfast was included, and the property is managed by Casa Dorita, whose staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome.
