Monte dos Papa Figos is located in the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast of the Natural Park, in the municipality of Odemira, near Zambujeira do Mar and São Teotónio. It is a private space where stress does not have access. Here you can read, walk, photograph, breathe fresh air, feel nature, go for a bike ride, listen to music, explore the beaches of the county (most famous, Zambujeira do Mar, Carvalhal, Odeceixe, Almograve, and the beaches of Vila Nova de Milfontes, etc.). There is also the Costa Vicentina where the beaches of Amoreira, Arrifana, Bordeira or Praia do Amado are located south of Sagres, or simply stay at the property and share unique moments with family and friends. Composed of 3 Suites, 2 Standard and another Deluxe Suite all with private bathrooms . At an additional price per person per night we can supply an extra bed on the floor in the Master Suite suitable for two small children or One adolescent Or a travel cot for babies . To relax you also have a large living room with tv, and a spacious terrace and beautiful garden . Please note that we are animal lovers and our pets include 2 dogs and 2 horses . Unfortunately we cannot except guests pets to stay at the property .

The beaches continue to be one of the largest attractions due to their natural beauty and diversity of fauna and flora. However, there are many other points of interest along this coastal territory which integrates the Nature Reserve of the South-West Alentejo and Vicentine Coast. The symbiosis between the mountains, river and sea bear a great influence on the gastronomic delights of the region. Throughout the year, you can find various grilled fresh fish dishes on a charcoal barbecue, a variety of seafood, traditional Alentejo delicacies such as black pork, smoked sausages and cheese. Another unforgettable product is the famous alcoholic drink “Aguardente de Medronho” or Arbutus-berry Firewater. The historic heritage is rich and diversified. You can visit museum sites, castles, forts or fortresses overlooking the sea. Far away from mass tourism and the busy city life, this region is unique and it can easily be reached in just a couple of hours from any of the European airports. Lisbon and Faro airports are within relatively close distance to “Monte dos Papa Figos”. Please take note that during the 1st part of August there is the famous Pop Festival Meo Sudoeste which lasts for 5 days during this time I am unable to offer you peace and quiet. I am however open for all you festival lovers. Dates of the Festival vary from year to year so please check first.
