I enjoyed it so much I was tempted to leave a bad review so it wouldn't be booked up next time im in Hai Phong. The bathtub is MASSIVE, big enough for the biggest tây. I'm 1.58 m and could fully stretch out with my legs straight, and there was so much room around my large hips too. The location is good, you can walk to Van Cao or Go! in about 15 minutes. Easy to get a grab too. The room is cute and comfortable. There were a lot of thoughtful touches like books (in Vietnamese), toiletries, nice slippers, ect. The cats were there to greet me every night, which I loved. The hosts responded quickly. It's next to a cute café I like.

This was our best accommodation in Vietnam 🇻🇳 so far – run by a very kind and hospitable family who helped us tremendously by organizing our travel onto and off the island and signing us up for a well-organized boat trip around the bay at an affordable price. They even rent scooters, although we didn't have the need for those in the end. The room itself is very basic but it has a decent size plus air conditioning. We also liked the location: close enough to the town center (~15 min walk) but in a quiet side street, not on the busy main road. All in all a very good value for money on Cat Ba, and we would gladly stay here again if we're ever back on the island 👌
