This backpacking hostel/lodging house is perhaps one of the most unique and interesting places I’ve ever stayed in my life. I felt like I was inside of Alice in Wonderland. Every corner of the space was an interesting tableau. It’s like I was at the mad Hatter’s tea party, but only in the best of ways.

Short walk from the ferry is a plus! We arrived prior to check in and enjoyed the common area which is fantastic. We sat outside and relaxed and were quickly checked in to our awaiting caravan - a nice retro space which was super comfortable. They have everything you need here for such an affordable price - including yummy breakfast scones! If you’re hiking the QCT, this is a great place to stay, meet fellow travellers, and you can even leave a bag if you plan to return after your trek.

It is a really nice and quiet hostel with a cosy community area. It's easy to meet new people The rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable Showers and toilets are clean The kitchen is well equipped, and the free breakfast is a very nice addition (thanks for that) A bit outside of the town centre. It's a 10-minute walk to the next supermarket and a 15-minute walk to the Interisland Ferry terminal. I didn't mind walking.

Very affordable place in a great location, close to ferry harbor. Many facilities were inside, including free breakfast. Atlantis owner was always somewhere around, and we could get some travel tips. She created a family-like atmosphere. Generally, I liked the hostel atmosphere, although for some guests it may seem weird. The room was comfortable, and the beds were too.

Fantastic backpacker hostel if you are backpacking in New Zealand. Very cheap and you can meet a lot of people. Also a nice cosy place and the staff are very helpful. The selfmade free dessert on 7pm is a very sweet touch too.
