Hostels in Carcavelos

This property checks all boxes of needs & wants. I booked for 2 weeks. Each was of different floor level & number of beds. Everything is within walking distance. Grocery store, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, train, bus, beach. The property consists of 4 floors. Amenities for storing & preparing food, coffee, juice, smoothies are available. The pool is maintained very nicely. The property is maintained very nicely. Juliana & others work hard to clean. If the reviews state property is not cleaned, it’s not because of the staff, but many of the hostel guests do not pickup after themselves. I saw Juliana & others clean very well. I saw Juliana works very hard to make sure everything is tidy, neat, organized & sanitized. The staff energy is exceptional & Juliana stands out. Juliana & the other members work to make you feel comfortable. I absolutely can not say enough good things about this hostel. I truly did not want to leave because I felt so comfortable. I know many other guests felt the same way. If I can. I will definitely return. Applause 👏 to Juliana & Mario & others. Also, I loved the style off the hostel building. The patio (s) are excellent.

Everything. Most importantly the great team of staff members and volunteers who provide support whenever you need it. While the volunteers are mainly great for the vibe inside the hostel and among guests, the founding team provides extraordinary support in regards to surf spots (how to approach them, when to go there, what to be careful with, etc.), traveling Lisbon and the area around. I have even seen some of them giving language support to a language student who was studying. You can book theoretical and practical surf classes with local legends from Carcavelos. This place is as close to perfection as it gets. Seriously, if you want to stay in the Lisbon area and explore not only downtown Lisbon but the area around as well, go here. The place is located in the perfect spot, close to public transport, with easy highway access, the beach not even 5 minutes away... Everything was clean and well-maintained, it is obvious that some passionate people put all their heart into this project. Here you will not feel like in one of these hostel factories that have popped up all over the globe, where young guests get put into a cheap location for cheap money. However, it is the contrary. Some young and nice locals fulfil their own dream to run a hostel - and they live that dream to the fullest. Have never been welcomed to a surfspot with such warmth and care. Thank you for everything, we will meet again soon!

One of the best hostels I have stayed

Simple but good. The fridge was very good..

It was simple and clean. I really liked how staff was nice and always available. Breakfast was simple but enough, we bought some food to add to breakfast and we were able to keep it in shared refrigerator, with our room number note, nobody else touched it. Restaurants are very near and have great offer, we recommend Cup of Joe. Sea view was amazing, hearing waves in the morning was the best. You can leave the luggage at the reception after checkout, if you want to walk around light. Really, really nice and welcoming place, we would love to come back.

Lovely eco-conscious guest house with friendly staff, a nice outdoor area, clean facilities and fresh ocean breeze.

It was very clean and comfortable, it was an upgraded old Spanish style and the bathrooms and kitchen were great! The staff was friendly and helpful and I enjoyed their company tremendously

Friendly staff and beautiful accommodations! Loved the little neighborhood and the Brazilian restaurant down the street. Great food!

The hotel was right in the centre of town,close to one of the beaches and right in the middle of lots of shops and restaurants. All public areas-toilets,kitchen,bar were very clean.

Because one of us is quite tall, we got offered a different room for free which was super nice. We felt very welcome and the breakfast was delicious. It's a pity I didn't have time to take surfing lessons:( Wish we could've stayed here longer.

The gemini houses are so cosy, I felt like being at my family’s! Super traditional Portuguese beds, bathroom, everything super comfortable! Had a great night sleep there. Staff is super kind and they buy bread and coffee for the guests. This builds a strong integration amongst guests, that follow the kind example and bring it to other domains. The houses are connected by an outdoor area, with sofas and chairs to chat or simply read a book. To reach the center city, a 9 minute walk is enough, while wandering through my favorite part of Cascais: the residential one. With luggage, guests can easily call a taxi or Uber.
