The highlight of my stay was the staff. everyone was super friendly and welcome from the moment i stepped in. I loved the events that are organized at the hostel to facilite interactions between the guest.

The hostel is about 10 minutes walk from the center and 15 minutes from the Rodoviaria. The supermarket also 10 minutes. The kitchen has all necessary equipment. I slept in a comfy bunk bed. I really had a good time here.

I had an exceptional stay at mambembe, which is by far the best hostel in ilha grande! The atmosphere is friendly, the team of volunteers available, it's the ideal place to meet new people and discover the beauty of ilha grande !!

typical backpackers hostel with manny friendly guests around, solo travelers and groups. really good breakfast included. WIFI works very well. towels not included. good hot water shower. kitchen is small but everything works fine. there are hangout areas. mostly quiet at night.

The overall vibe of the hostel is very sociable. The hostel has common areas - all well decorated and well furnished - that make socializing easy, including a kitchen, lounge, outdoor furniture, and a pool. The staff also contribute to the friendly social vibe, epecially Alexandre who was a great conversationalist. At the same time, the staff also keep the hostel clean, organized and safe. I appreciated all the efforts made to keep the hostel clean. I also appreciated Luciano's professionalism and management.

Great hostel with very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a very nice vibe created socially. Private room is big and a nice balcony. Shared rooms are comfortable as well. I normally was staying 2 nights in Rio but I cancelled next location because I had very good fun.
Location also perfect, middle of Ipanema, with best supermarket closeby, safe street.

Amazing view, host is super friendly, the favela is super safe and a family like feeling, felt very welcome there. Also everything is super cheap up there foodwise.

Best hostel I stayed in throughout my whole trip! Very clean, modern and new. Good kitchen, easy to meet people and a nice familiar atmosphere.

The location is perfect and in a safe area, so it‘s a good place to explore Rio. The hostel has a bar, where you can hang out, meet new people and have some drinks, between 20:00 - 20:30 there‘s free caipirinhas all you can drink, in combination with party vibes, so it‘s good pre-gaming. Staff is super helpful, Tai is an angel, you can always ask for recommendations. Also, everyday they organize events that one can join.
