Obertauern is located in the magnificent Salzburg Alps at 1,740m above sea level. The skiing area is rightly considered one of the most snow-sure in Austria. From mid-November to the beginning of May, perfect snow and slope conditions make the hearts of winter sports enthusiasts beat faster. 26 comfortable lifts take you up to an altitude of 2,313 m and around 100 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes ensure a unique skiing experience (Tauernrunde!). If you can't get enough of skiing pleasure during the day: Every Monday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. you have the opportunity to ski at night on the Edelweiss 4-seater chairlift. With 26 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails, cross-country skiing fans will also get their money's worth. "Non-skiers" have the opportunity to do their rounds in the fresh air on enchanting winter hiking trails. Ice climbing, tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, curling, bowling, casino ... the particularly varied range of activities guarantees you a varied, unforgettable skiing holiday in the winter ski resort of Obertauern!
