Opened in 1866, the privately owned Hotel Sacher Salzburg is a grand, historic hotel which combines timeless elegance and tradition with highest standard of service. It is centrally located on the banks of the Salzach River with magnificent and unique views of the historic old town and Hohensalzburg Fortress. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire hotel. All rooms and suites are furnished in an individual fashion and offer state-of-the-art facilities. Furnishings include original paintings and silk wallpapers. All rooms offer air conditioning, a mini-bar, and bathrobes. The restaurant Zirbelzimmer, whose wooden paneling and elaborately carved ceilings are unique in Salzburg, is a popular meeting place for gourmets. Restaurant Salzach Grill serves barbecue specialties. The famous Café Sacher Salzburg serves the original Sacher cake in a characteristic Austrian coffee house ambiance with an elegant touch.
