The flat can easily also be reached by public transport. Bregenz-Hafen train station is a 10min walk. The closest bus stop is a 3 min walk. In winter time you can go for a walk along the new developed shoreline between Bregenz and Lochau. All the major ski resorts of Vorarlberg can be reached by train after a 10min walk. The Lake is a 3 min walk downhill and you can go for a swim right there on the beautifully newly designed beach along the shore. There are showers right on the Lake. You can join the locals for a morning or after work swim! At the house start beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails up the Pfaender, the mountain towering above Bregenz. You can hike up and take the cable car down or the other way round. The famous bike trail around Lake Cosntance goes by the house. Two golf courses, Golf Club Lindau-Bad Schachen and Golfclub Bodensee Weissensberg are a 10 minute drive away. The Bregenzer Festspiele offer a great cultural experience. In addition there are operas and concerts throughout the year. The theatre and opera house are a 10 or 20min walk, respectively. So no need to take your car and no hassle to find parking. All can be done by foot. The luscious green meadows of the Bregenzerwald are a 15min drive or public bus journey. Lindau and St Gallen with their culinary and cultural offering can be easily reached by train. Also a trip to Innsbruck, Liechtenstein and the famous Arlberg ski restort can be reached by a train after a 10min walk from the house. Airports Zurich, Friedrichshafen and Memmingen can be conveniently reached by train.
