Our luxury chalet in Filzmoos is a unique home from home accommodation unlike any other in the area. Its the perfect space for families and friends to share this lovely open plan chalet and spend time eating and relaxing together. Due to its location it is very private and peaceful as there are no properties above our chalet so there is very little traffic apart from walkers and cyclists during summer. The incredible elevated private balcony gives unparalleled views down through the valley so you can sit and watch the sunset summer and winter ( weather permitting). We have outdoor furniture and a large table so eating and drinking al fresco is wonderful. During summer the balcony is in full sun so we do provide a large umbrella for shade. Opposite the chalet are woods and from your entrance you have uninterrupted mountain views, you are at one with nature in this amazing landscape. The kitchen is very well equipped as we use this as our family second home and eating home cooked meals with our family is very important to us. There is a private drive which will accommodate 2 cars if parked closely together. We are happy to share this beautiful chalet with you and your families and hope you love it as much as we do !

We bought this chalet as we fell in love with Filzmoos when we visited several years ago on a skiing holiday. We use it along with our family during winter and summer as its the perfect place to relax as its very peaceful and all you hear when sitting outside on the balcony is bird song and the village church bells ringing. We enjoy skiing and walking the many walking paths during winter and walking and cycling during the summer months. We hire electric bikes from the village as there are many miles of walking/cycling routes around the area and some directly from our chalet.

Filzmoos is in our opinion is 'A jewel in the crown of Austria ' A charming, delightful village with several excellent restaurants including The Jagdhof, The Happy Filzmoos ( excellent for apres and eating outdoors in the summer) Lieblingsplatz ( ribs are famous and served Thursday's) Cafe le Vie plus delightful alms at the top of the lifts. The Oberhofalm is reached by horse drawn sleigh during summer and winter or its an hours walk to reach this 350 year old alm. In the village is a small swimming pool with bowling alley and sauna and during winter there is a small ice rink. There are several hotels that have horse drawn carriages that you can book and hire for a few hours. Winter - Après is wild in The Almstadl opposite the supermarket and very good in The Happy Filzmoos opposite the nurses slope. Sledging and tobogganing is very popular, also winter hiking and cross country skiing. Summer - Walking, cycling, horse riding on a menage at a local hotel and lots of famous tourist attractions including Europes largest ice caves, Dachstein Glacier, Werfen castle, Halstatt which is a UNESCO world heritage site, Eagles Nest Berchtesgaden and lots more all within easy drive of your chalet. The beautiful city of Salzburg is always worth visiting summer and winter as its castle and architecture are delightful.
