Portland surrounds a very beautiful and busy harbor. There are many activities on the foreshore - playgrounds , fishing from the piers , charter fishing , watch the ships come in and load or unload. A great thing to do is take the restored cable tram trip around the lagoon and along the foreshore to the Lighthouse.The front street provides many fantastic cafes and restaurants showcasing local produce.
