As new owners, we have been influenced greatly by our extensive travels in Bali and India. We are hoping to create a little of that special ambiance at our guesthouse in Bellingen. The Belfry Guesthouse has a strong community sense of belonging, giving back and supporting our wonderful Bellingen community. In 2016 we hosted the Gyuto Monks of Tibet in our guesthouse and provided a free, community weekend program for people to experience first hand the Gyuto Monks. We support the Bello Winter Music Festival, we are a major sponsor of the OUTA (Open Up To Art) Festival and Bellingen Readers and Writers Festival. Being part of our vibrant local community is very important to us.

THE PROMISED LAND A scenic 10-minute drive from Bellingen. It is a lush, green area of farmland surrounded by the rainforest of the Great Dividing Range. The gorgeous Never Never Creek meanders through this area providing many perfect, secluded swimming holes and picnic spots. COMMUNITY MARKETS Held in the ‘Bellingen Market Park’ in Church Street on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Locally grown produce and unique arts/crafts from the Bellingen Shire can be found here. Something for all including live music, camel rides, and wonderful food. Their motto “Not just a market but a great place to be” says it all. GROWERS MARKET Held on the 2nd and the 4th Saturday of the month from 8 am. Located at the Bellingen Showground at the corner of Hammond and Black Streets. Fresh produce galore. There is also a Farmers' market every Wednesday afternoon at the Bellingen Market Park. EAT, DRINK, SHOP The Belfry is conveniently located in the heart of town.
