So, what can I say this property is simply stunning. The host was super easy to contact, access to the property was easy and straight forward but the property itself was truly beautiful, from the decor to the attention to detail to the view from the back deck - I just wished we had more than one evening. Prepare to be impressed.

Spottlesly clean, well laid out and comfortable. Turn left up the street and a 20 min bushwalk to stunning views through the forest and then onto the valley. Turn right and a 15 minute walk into the town with restaurants, coffee shops and pubs.

What wasn't there to like? Jody was the most kind and generous host. We felt at home and she was always super helpful with any questions we had. The property itself is set on the most beautiful land - lush and green and right by the river. The house itself had many parts we could enjoy as a family and also the kids absolutely loved it. The deck was perfect for our morning Yoga and for our BBQ catch ups. Loved the chicken coop that the kids could feed scraps to, and also the gardens were so expansive - perfect for family soccer, easter egg hunts and hide and seek! Jodie had some fantastic recommendations of nearby places to visit and we also organised an amazing at-home masseuse for the ladies (which I highly recommend). The beauty of the stay is that Jodie and her partner run an amazing Canoe business from the side of the property so the entire family could also organise our own canoe adventure from our place. It was magical. I would highly, highly recommend the Bellingen Converted Cottage to anyone considering staying in Bellingen!

A great old style country town in a wonderful rural setting,...

A great old style country town in a wonderful rural setting, with interesting shops, friendly down to earth people, A good beach and fantastic national park are within an easy drive. The cafes and pubs are very good. Cannot recommend higher.

Bellingen is a quaint town with great boutiques, restaurants...

Bellingen is a quaint town with great boutiques, restaurants and historic buildings. We enjoyed our dinner at Bruno's (Mediterranean Cuisine) as well as our lunch on the back deck of the Federal Hotel. The IGA Grocery store is wonderful, especially the Deli. Bellingen is surrounded by lots of nature, hiking spots, wildlife and is close to the ocean. It also sits right on the Bellinger River, which is beautiful.

Very peaceful walkable village with a great selection of...

Very peaceful walkable village with a great selection of shops and places to eat. Fabulous mediterranean meal at Bruno's, excellent beer and wood fired pizza at the Brewery, very solid bistro meals at the pub and Diggers Tavern. Fantastic bookshop and several clothing and op shops. Well stocked IGA (open till 7:00) for all the usual staples. Easy drive to Coffs and adjoining beachy villages if you need to see salt water.

Look up Camp Creative if you plan on visiting during January. A great place to spend the week embracing the creative side of your life. We had a great experience dining at The Three Blue Ducks Restaurant.

I loved bellingen. even on a rainy day it was wonderful to wander around the main street. food and coffee offerings were first class, and the range of shops was very good. Physical surroundings very attractive (even on a rainy overcast day).

The property was very central to all the cafes restaurants and patisseries. The apartment was an extremely comfortable and homely place to stay with lots of inclusions to make your stay comfortable. I must say I’ve never stayed in such a well cared for and clean property, it was immaculate and you can tell the owners take a lot of pride in the apartment and really want to make it special for their customers. We will definitely rebook, next time we visit Bellingen.

Nice and quiet. Didn't see anyone on the property. The house is gorgeous. Really nice place for just a couple to spend the weekend. Be prepared, though,thereisno public tpt in Bellingen. I was aware of that, but others used to having a taxi or Uber all the time may not be, and you just can't walk home after a few drinks with dinner.

Very pleasant communal atmosphere, spacious balcony/deck to relax and chat with others, very engaging and welcoming hosts. And Bellingen is a fabulous place to visit, Belfry is perfectly located for the town, very central but tucked away so very quiet.
