Clement House Bed and Breakfast consists of the front rooms of a large Victorian family home, built circa 1910. We do not cater for large groups with just one large bedroom with a queen sized bed, a spacious bathroom with an oversized bath and walk in shower and your own sitting room. There is a wide verandah for outdoor dining and very private formal gardens. The high front fence provides privacy and security. Clement House is centrally located, within minutes walk to the many shops, cafes and restaurants around Benalla. You can walk to Benalla's Art Gallery and Botanical Gardens or take the walking track around the lake. You can stay in and relax, looking through our range of books or dvd's , sitting in front of the gas log fire. It is perfect for that special getaway or a place to stop over for a break in your travels.
I have lived at Clement House for nearly 30 years and raised my children here. I have a retail shop in Benalla selling gifts and homewares and I am a qualified florist. Over the last 30 years I have enjoyed renovating and decorating Clement House and love to spend time in the garden. It pleases me greatly to share my passion for decor with the guests who have stayed here.
Clement House is next door to Elm Tree Antiques and is central to Benalla's Hotels, Restaurants and shops. We are only minutes walk to the Art Gallery and Botanical Gardens and only a block away from the walking track around Lake Benalla. The Gliding Club of Victoria is only 5 minutes drive and the Winton Raceway is approximately 10 minutes out of town. When walking around Benalla you can now see some amazing Street Art with new additions every year during the Wall to Wall Festival. Benalla is also close to the wine districts of Glenrowan and The King Valley.
