We didn't visit Wangaratta apart from taking our dog for a walk in a lovely park. We grabbed a pizza (which was very, very ordinary) and walked down the street but it was Sunday so most places were closed.

Came up to Wangaratta as i had entered my dogs in dog trials...

Came up to Wangaratta as i had entered my dogs in dog trials conducted by Wangaratta Kennel and Obedience Club. This is a fantastic club, has wonderful facilities and the events were very well conducted. Had a lovely breakfast/coffee at the Koffee Bean Cafe in the main street.

We absolutely loved Wangaratta!

We absolutely loved Wangaratta! It is a truly beautiful city, and the walking track beside the Ovens River was both peaceful and enjoyable. We also had a fantastic dining experience during our visit. Highly recommend exploring this wonderful town!

We were very happy with the staff attitude specially the attending receptionist(Francesco). He stayed after hours to accommodate our late arrival due to delayed air travel , it was very much appreciated. We have stayed at the Quest before and always found it one of the better hotels to stay. We'll be back in the near future.

I hadn’t been here in years.

I hadn’t been here in years. It’s one of the most vibrant country centres in Australia. Very relaxed. A lot of people of all ages out enjoying themselves (on a week night). Also, they’ve done a great job sprucing up the city centre and river walk. I’m coming back to spend more time here.

I have been coming just about every year for 30 years to the...

I have been coming just about every year for 30 years to the jazz festival in the first week of November. It's always a great break in an area renowned for food and wine. Also many neighbouring towns are also great to explore eg in the last few years I've been to Beechworth (be sure to take the prison tour and the lunatic asylum tour) Glenrowan (site of Ned Kelly's last stand) and this year to Wodonga right up to the southern banks of the Murray River with walking paths featuring indigenous art and culture. In Wangaratta I enjoyed riverside dining at both Rinaldos and the RSL (Sydney Hotel).

The rooms was quiet, neat and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The proximity to our destination in Wangaratta, was very close by which was a bonus. The bathroom, though very dated, was perfectly functional. The shower was hot and the water pressure was great. The reverse cycle A/c unit works very well and kept us warm whilst we were in the room.

We loved the spaciousness and comfort of the home. It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking implements and appliances. We loved that the house is dog friendly. The house is situated within walking distance of the railway station, cafes and the Wangaratta CBD. The house suited all of our requirements that we were hoping for.
