AustraliaSo comfortable and cosy, everything about the place just made you feel like you are staying in a top tier cottage, the owners really went all out with this cottage and the backyard was immaculate, could not help but to just stand there and admire it. Usually my husband and I would look for Activites to take the kids to, but me I told my husband to go and just soaked up the comfort of this place.

Well worth the visit.
Well worth the visit. Great walking trails and lots to see and do each day. Lots of history in the area. Weather was great. Staff at the Information centre were extremely helpful planning our itinerary

The architecture is gorgeous.
The architecture is gorgeous. The shopping centre is great by country standards, and I love the library/museum. It is also much livelier in the evening than most country towns in Australia, and it feels remarkably safe. I love the railway station too.

Albury was a stop on our way to Geelong (and Tasmania).
Albury was a stop on our way to Geelong (and Tasmania). It was surprisingly beautiful, with wonderful people, wide streets and good shops.
The surrounding countryside was gorgeous and worth a longer stay.

If you're travelling the Hume Freeway from Melbourne to...
If you're travelling the Hume Freeway from Melbourne to Sydney and need a break or overnight stay then Albury is a good city to do that. There's lots of things to do especially in the summer with it's close proximity to Lake Hume and the Murray River. In winter it's an excellent gateway to the Victorian Snowfields, or for that matter even the Alpine resorts of NSW.

Looked clean, good parking and very good atmosphere. Easy to find places to eat in walking distance, we had dinner at The hotel and a great Chinese restaurant

It is well set out and easy to navigate your way around.
It is well set out and easy to navigate your way around. Lots to see and do. The Botanical Gardens, Wonga Wetlands, War Memorial, wineries and the Murray River. The railway station is amazing and worth a look. There are lots of places only a short drive from Albury such as Rutherglen, Corowa and the historic town of Beechworth.

I recently stayed at the Astor Hotel Motel in Albury for one night. The location is quite convenient, being close to the highway, which makes it a good stopover for travellers. The bar and restaurant on site seemed pretty nice, although I didn't get a chance to try them. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth, taking place at the bar counter with clear signage indicating this. The room had good air-conditioning and Wi-Fi, which were definite pluses.

Everything from booking the accommodation through to check in and out was excellent.
Quest on Townsend is my hotel of choice when I am needing to stay in Albury for many reasons outlined above but also for proximity to the CBD.
There is a true Craft Brewery less than 1km from the front doors, check it out - The Thirsty Devil.

The owner operator was very helpful. Our room was clean. An excellent large screen TV. The location was great. It was easy to walk to the nearby Star Hotel which has delicious meals. We could also walk to the main street, Dean Street which is the CBD of Albury.

Great Location in the centre of Albury, near shops and great restaurants.
The continental breakfast was delicious.
We appreciated all of the added touches to make our stay comfortable, Kevin provided a level of service not often found in hotels today.

The location was perfect, in the middle of town with access to a variety of eateries. It is not a new or modern hotel but very comfortable and extremely clean. Reception was great and offered information about Albury as it was our first time there.
