Crystal Springs Homestead is situated in the heart of the Walpole Wilderness area, on the edge of the D’Entrecasteau and Walpole-Nornalup National Parks. The Homestead is the original house in the area built in the 1950s, the area was once used for a tobacco farm, a strawberry farm and cattle grazing. There is The Homestead, which has beds for 10 guests, consisting of 2 x queensize beds, I x double bed and 4 x single beds. It has two bathrooms and a games room or the more compact alternative, the Rangers House, which sleeps up to six guests. The Rangers House has two queensize beds and two single beds. and one bathroom. Travelling south from Perth, you pass Manjimup and then after an hour’s drive through magnificent forests, Crystal Springs appears. It is the first settlement on the road and is truly set apart from the urban stresses of the 21st Century. The Southern Ocean is 7 km away, with an all-vehicle road leading directly to the superb Mandalay Beach, which offers surfing, beach and rock fishing and beachcombing. Long Point, Hush Hush Beach, Banksia Beach, Cliffy Head, Broke Inlet Mouth and Lost Beach can be reached by 4-wheel drive and on foot. Sections of the Bibbulmun Track, which runs all the way from Perth to Albany, are within 5 km.

Grant and Meredith visited the area with their children on holidays for many years. The clean air, trees and magnificent beaches always brought them back. After one of their holiday trips down to the area, they asked themselves if they would like a tree/ sea change the answer was a resounding "yes" and Crystal Springs Holiday Accommodation was the perfect place for it.
