We were pleasantly surprised at how much thought and attention to detail had been given to stocking the accommodation with holiday essentials. We were greeted with a fridge full of fresh eggs, butter,milk and a range of bread mixes to use in the bread maker supplied. There was internet wifi, a smart TV, family board games etc. Even farm animals to pet! We felt welcomed and extremely comfortable.

Cabin like cute place amidst Beautiful surroundings with kangaroos and colourful birds. Very clean & cozy with fireplace. Had everything we needed. Good location in Walpole. Chris is a very friendly host! Highly recommend !!!

Imo the beauty and serenity of the location is unmatched. We loved playing tennis, bushwalking through the property, canoeing along the lovely Frankland River practically at our doorstep, also having an outdoor wood fire and BBQ. Very comfy beds and well equipped kitchen plus an indoor wood fire to keep us warm at night. Also Prue the manager is a fabulous and very generous host! Fyi as a family of 4 living in Albany we were 2-3 times a year regulars at the Chalets for 17 years up until 5 years ago when our son and then later our daughter moved to Perth to study, so this was our first reunion visit to what we all call our 'second home"!!!

The beautiful scenery was everywhere.

The beautiful scenery was everywhere. Wonderful walk trails of all lengths and difficulties. The beaches were also gorgeous. The op shop was such a good one. There were blue wrens all over the place. The Phillipino restaurant was friendly and delicious. We could have stayed a week. The tourist bureau was helpful and full of maps to show you the area, picnic spots in all the places. Great place to go and visit with nature.

Post school holidays so a few outlets closed for a few weeks. Disappointed the tourist info centre is not open more. I went down on day it was open at 3.10, closed at 3...! Tree Top Walk 10/10 WOW boat cruise 100/10. Gary Muir a legend and very knowledgable and the lemon cake is to die for.... Drive to Fernbrook Falls. Pictures - not flowing as is summer. Mnt Franklin - a great view. Art Loop intersting.

Loved the personal service at petrol station Variety of eateries Disapointed with closure of Thurlby Farm Cafe, been waiting years to visit it. Not too much else really but met expectations of what we wanted.

Walpole was lovely and quiet.

Walpole was lovely and quiet. It was very peaceful with a lovely walk along the inlet and in the forest behind the visitor centre. If you have a dog, you need to be aware that a lot of the surrounding areas are National Parks, and a dog is not allowed to enter them. We were able to take the dog to nearby Parry Beach which was good.

Walpole is great for the outdoor family, tree top walk,...

Walpole is great for the outdoor family, tree top walk, multiple state forests and more walking and riding trails than you will fit in. there are 4WD tracks and the beach views are spectacular (don't miss out on Mandalay beach). We highly recommend Walpole as a holiday destination.

Our impression of the town is very good.

Our impression of the town is very good. Civic pride is visible. The town is compact so very easy to navigate. Had to visit the medical center and that went very smoothly. Our visit to the pharmacy, however, did not leave a great impression. Ate in the dining room of our accommodation. Very good. Excellent service. Loved the Tree Top Walk and we were totally in awe of the beautiful countryside surrounding Walpole.

The property was a few kms from the town of Walpole but still very convenient. It gave us a great base to visit the attractions around the area. The house had basic but most of the things you require. Loved the log heater. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. Great hot water and filter water. The surroundings were nice and although close to the road it wasn’t a problem.

The accommodation was very spacious, clean and well appointed. It is a very quiet location not far from Walpole with kangaroos eating the grass in the middle of the paddock. This is our second stay at Tanglewood Cabins and we would willingly come again.
