ACCOMMODATION This large 1950's Country Manor, full of timeless character, has 2 self contained apartments & a spacious studio. Cloud 9 – The upstairs apartment, with steps no lift, perfect for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, anniversary + honeymoon suite. Romantic Queen size 4 poster bed, in main bedroom. Two King single beds and a sofa bed in the 2nd bedroom/sunroom. Sleeps up to 4 guests - 8m private deck with 180 degree, uninterrupted, breathtaking views over the Jamison Valley. Cockatoos come to visit. Be mesmerized by the ever-changing colors over the escarpment. Sterling Manor - The ground floor apartment - Period chic decor, also with same OMG views. Sleeps up to 4 guests, 8m deck & pergola for sun protection, outdoor lounge +table. The 2nd bedroom is located in the loungeroom with a Queen bed in the corner of the room, a single ottoman bed for an extra guest. Plus a sofa bed in the dining room + newly renovated kitchen & bathroom. Garden of the Stars - Studio sleeps 2 guests. (Listed separately) Located on the left side of the house with views from the rear courtyard, not from inside. All have Smart TVs & Netflix - air conditioned with the finest hydronic heating.

My happy place is in nature and the Blue Mountains was the perfect location for me to retire to. Having worked in the corporate world for many years, I retrained as a Counsellor, taught Meditation classes & helped a lot of people along the way. Once I was clear on what I wanted, the property found me. I love living in the Blue Mountains with it's healthy lifestyle. Being the previous home of the famous and late Astrologer Richard Sterling meant a lot to me as I used to read his Astrology columns in the Women's Weekly and watch his Astrology programme on television. I felt privileged to have been the lucky one to have acquired this iconic property and later to share it's beauty with guests from around the world. That's what I enjoy the most !

CHARMING HISTORICAL KATOOMBA Katoomba is the most visited and popular town in the Blue Mountains. Step back in time during your stay in charming, Katoomba, with it's art deco buildings, art galleries, eclectic tea rooms, and gift shops. Dalia's Retreat offers the perfect base for bushwalkers, with access to the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park 300m from the house. There are beautiful waterfalls in the area including; * Katoomba Cascades, * Katoomba Falls * Minne Ha Ha Falls Katoomba * Great shopping in Leura. * Live music Friday - Saturday nights in many venues in Katoomba. PUBLIC TRANSPORT You don't really need a car if staying for a few nights. There's the hop on hop off bus and normal bus stop within 5 minutes walk from the house. You can catch the train to explore Leura and Blackheath and Mt Victoria to name a few towns in the mountains that are very interesting to visit. Or hire Katoomba Taxi's. The bus stop is outside Echo Point Lookout Food Court with a regular bus service that will take you to Scenic World or into Katoomba town, 5 minutes away. The Lookout Echo Point is a world-class destination to drink and dine with amazing views, just moments walk from the house. Trivia on Wednesday nights and live music over the weekend. A 5 minute drive into Katoomba’s town centre, with many great restaurants and cafes. Weekends are busy so it's important to book a special fine dining venue. My favourites are: * The Avalon with live music on Friday nights * Pins on Lurline Road Katoomba * Madam Wangs Leura * Lilianfels Restaurant Katoomba Marketplace for grocery shopping; Aldi, Woolworths, Coles and the train station nearby ...makes this the perfect choice for your next mountain getaway.  You can also hire a car locally in Leura from Hertz and Thrifty if you wish to save time and be more comfortable.
