The bonus of fresh walnuts was so nice. I started cracking and eating even before unpacking! The location was perfect for wandering around this small village. The kitchen was brilliant, big and well equipped. They let me park in front of the cabin...

It felt like such a privilege staying somewhere with such historical value. Close to a beautiful lake walk and mountain bike trails, it met all of our families' needs. The owners are respectful curators, and the beds were super comfy.

Liz was accommodating with my request for a later check out. The B&B was gorgeous with lots of character. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom very clean with everything I needed. Nice a close, only a 15 minute walk to the Floating Sauna.

Great hosts, great location, amazing building and the best record collection! Host was gracious to open up the dining room so we could make lunches etc as very limited space to cater for yourself.

B&B This old fashioned style Bed and Breakfast is designed with all the creature comforts of technology while maintaining a style of warm hospitality that you will remember long after your visit. The finer details • The Bank House sleeps four people and includes 2 queen beds (four poster), Wifi, TV, fireplace, reverse cycle AC, wine glasses, water dispenser, board games, clothes line, access to the garden & outdoor setting. • The bank house isn’t fully equipped with a kitchen. We do however have all tea and coffee facilities and a bar fridge for you to indulge in your ideal knock-off after a hard day on the trails. You can even put a record on and jam out to The Ramones or one of our many other records in our collection in front of the open wood fire. • The house is not suitable for children due to the nature of the building & furnishings. • We have lockable bike storage for you with a tool kit (this fits 4 bikes with steady racks and electricity available if you have an E-bike) • Check-in is from 1pm and check out by 10am thank you. • We live in the downstairs section of the main house, but we respect the privacy of our guests and will leave you to your own devices unless you need a hand. CABIN Located at the rear of Derby Bank House this new Cabin has private access, private balcony and is fully insulated which is great for the Tasmanian climate. The finer details • The Cabin features one bedroom with 2 long single beds and open plan living. • Enjoy a fully equiped kitchen including oven, induction cooktop and dishwasher. We do not provide breakfast. • The bathroom includes underfloor heating for those cold Tasmanian nights plus a shower and washing machine. • Private balcony • A mud room with steady racks is available for your mountain biking gear. • Access to the property is available so you can drive right up to your door. • Entry with key safe with check-in
It all began with our son winning a competition to travel to Derby for the opening of the trails in 2015 Mark fell in love with the town and had always wanted to live in a Heritage building and I am happily along for the journey. Mark is a shuttle driver. I come from a hospitality background and so am very comfortable cooking your breakfast(if you chose this option) . Breakfast is served in the room closest to the front door We invite you to stay and promise you a comfortable bed and a warm welcome.
Set in a unique mountain biking township, Derby Bank House is in the centre of town and a few minute walk to eateries, floating sauna, walking tracks, heritage and natural attractions.
