Make Ballachulish Farm Stay your base camp for your next family or friend adventure! Centrally located in Northwest Tasmania, our spacious farmhouse is an ideal location for groups looking to explore the area. Spend the day at the beach, hike Cradle Mountain, or visit the penguins just a short drive away. Beautifully renovated with gourmet kitchen/dining 2 bathrooms 3bedrooms sleeping 7, sitting + entertainment room
I am 65 years old.I grew up in Tasmania and met my husband Chris there. We have been married for 42years . We have 3 adult children, and we were looking for a new challenge at this stage. My parents owned the farm for 25 years and spent a very happy retirement there. We could not bear to let the farm leave the family, so we bought it and have spent 18 months renovating and refurbishing. We have a little bit more to do !! Chris and i love the idea of sharing this lovely home . We currently live in Brisbane on a very lush 3 acres of our own, but slip down to Tasmania whenever we can to breath is the fresh air and quiet way of life. I am a retired nurse/ educator and Chris has his own ship brokerage company. We have travelled widely and to some out of the way places in our time. We enjoy meeting new people, and although we may not always be there to greet you in person, we are only an email away. We have a wonderful manager called Jonath. She will be available if you need help with any aspect of your stay,
The region you will be in is surrounded by other working farms. Everyone is super friendly and if you take the time to stop and have a chat you can learn a lot about what is produced in the paddocks around you. Watch the tractors and pickers work the paddocks. In the evenings the sunsets are magnificent. Public transport is very limited. You will need a hire car.
