Cooked breakfast was available for an extra fee but we did not use this service . The location was excellent . Walking trail into town from the property. Lots of wood available for the log fire to keep warm .

Our stay at Heartland Cottage in Ross Village, Tasmania, was one of the best we’ve ever had. What made it even more special was that the owner was staying on the same premises. We arrived after dark, and she kindly came out to welcome us and help...

Heartland Cottage, where old meets new, was built in 1930 and is located opposite the heritage-listed female factory. Its no ordinary cottage by any means, some find it a little quirky with lots of charm, you would be too if you were built in 1930. The cottage has updated amenities that include a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, cooktop, microwave, kettle, kitchenware and washing machine and dryer. We offer clean and comfortable interior and furnishings throughout, including a wood fireplace for cozy nights and reverse cycle air conditioners/heaters in the living area and queen bedroom, electric blankets on the single beds to suit anyone's climate. Discover our veggie garden and our very friendly chickens, or just sit back and relax and take in the distant mountain views and beautiful rural sunset. Free ample parking , free vintage push bikes to stroll around town for the young hearted. We do not offer Wi-Fi at the cottage, This is deliberate and proud choice. We want to welcome you you to a gentler, slower pace-a beautiful return to the old ways of living before screens, constant notifications and digital noise took over our daily lives. Use this rare opportunity to completely unplug. Spend your evenings having real conversations, playing board games, reading books or simply watching the fire. Grab a drink and sit outside on one of our many vintage benches or walk around the property and the garden or take a leisurely 5 minutes walk to town . If you're staying with us during autumn or winter, wake up early to watch the quiet, peaceful fog roll over the landscape. We invite you to use this opportunity to step back in time and rediscover the simple pleasures in life. ### CHECK OUT OUR 5 night or 7 night STAYS FOR GREAT VALUE DICOUNTED PRICES !!
Upon arrival, you may be greeted by Irene or Matthew, who are generally in the garden (except in winter when it's minus -8 degrees) with the chickens, pecker, fluffy and friends. Optionally, you can just drive up the driveway and enter by the keyless entry lock. Instructions will be provided/sent to you in the morning of your arrival date. ##### check out our 5 or 7 night stay rates for great discounts ####
