Manna Hill Farm Cottages is a relatively new development on approximately 50 acres with magnificent views of Mt Roland and the surrounding countryside. Guests are welcome to explore the farm which includes an area of woodland and streams on two sides. We have a small flock of Dorper sheep that regularly produce lambs! Sheffield is only a few minutes away and has some great cafes and restaurants, including a pub, all patronised by visitors and locals alike. The town is known worldwide for its beautiful murals and the annual Mural competition. The resulting artworks are displayed in the Mural Park which are a must see. Other attractions in the area include art galleries, a steam train and a tourist information centre.
We discovered Tasmania, and the Sheffield area in particular only a few years ago. We felt it was too beautiful a spot not to share. We have travelled a lot in the past few years and feel we know what discerning travellers are looking for. Eileen is an artist with a gift for hosting and enjoys interacting with people. Simon has a background in farming and is enjoying being hands on looking after the sheep, and riding on the tractor.
We live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, with rolling green rural countryside surrounded by mountains to the South and sea to the north. This the land of milk and honey so follow the tasting trails to discover all that this area has to offer. Hike at Cradle Mountain and explore some of the waterfalls and walking trails nearby, or take the rugged coastal road with beautiful unspoilt and virtually empty sandy beaches. The local area is known for its artists so visit a local gallery or wander around Sheffield - the town of murals. Clamber round the Mole Creek Caves or see Tasmanian devils at Trowunna wildlife park. Pay a visit to the village of Lower Crackpot down the road from Paradise and Nowhere Else and get lost in Tasmazia. There's heaps to see, make Manna Hill Farm your base and explore the Cradle Coast!
