Property info

Set within 91 acres of private bushland on the Freycinet Peninsula, Numie’s glamping tents offer a unique retreat where you can fully unwind without sacrificing comfort. Just 10 minutes from Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park, this adults-only hideaway is designed for those wanting to slow down, switch off, and experience Tasmania’s landscape in a more intimate way. Our bell tents are thoughtfully designed to connect you with nature while offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. Blending into the Tasmanian wilderness, each tent features calming Japanese and Nordic-inspired design, natural and low-toxicity materials, plush mattresses, and soft linens. Wake to sweeping views of the Hazards and Pelican Bay, and stay warm year-round with an eco-friendly automatic wood pellet heater. A mini fridge is also located inside the tent for convenience. Numie features three exclusive sites—one glamping tent and two cocoons—each spaced approximately 20 metres apart for privacy. Just steps from your tent, your private bathroom tent includes a hot shower and compostable toilet. A separate dining pod is fully equipped with a BBQ and gas stove, while an outdoor fire pit creates the perfect setting for slow breakfasts, long lunches, or relaxed dinners surrounded by bushland and coastal air. Solar power provides lighting and USB charging so you can stay connected while still embracing the outdoors. The Homecamp tents are fully enclosed and built to withstand winds up to 80kph, with mosquito netting, vents, and zip windows for comfort in all seasons. Wildlife is part of the experience, with wombats, sugar gliders, possums, and wallabies often seen nearby. Spend your days exploring Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula, then return to relax under Tasmania’s clear night skies, perfect for stargazing. Numie Glamping is an adults-only eco retreat where you can truly switch off, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Rain water and solar powered.

Neighborhood info

Set along Tasmania’s spectacular east coast, Coles Bay is the gateway to Freycinet National Park and one of the state’s most naturally beautiful destinations. Framed by the pink granite peaks of The Hazards and the calm waters of Great Oyster Bay, the area offers a relaxed coastal setting where nature takes centre stage. From here, some of Tasmania’s most iconic landscapes are right on your doorstep. The world-famous Wineglass Bay is just a short drive and scenic walk away, while the national park offers a network of coastal tracks, quiet beaches, lookouts and wildlife encounters. Whether you’re hiking, kayaking, swimming or simply enjoying the views, it’s easy to spend your days outdoors. Coles Bay itself is a small seaside village with a handful of local cafés and dining spots, along with easy access to boat ramps, beaches and walking trails. Fresh local seafood is a highlight, including the nearby Freycinet Marine Farm where oysters and mussels are served straight from the water. It’s a place to slow down, explore the coastline and take in the unique landscape that makes this part of Tasmania so special. Often referred to as the jewel of Tasmanians coast line. It has a magic that pulls people from around the world. From the stunning beauty of Wineglass Bay, crystal-clear waters, towering granite mountains of the Hazards to sheltered turquoise bays this place is truly breathtaking.
