Purpose built, studio accommodation, ideally suited for a couple or a couple with one child, on the grounds of Kings Cottage. The foldout sofa bed in the sitting room is suitable for a young child/teenager up to 17 y.o. The Bower offers the traveler an airy, spacious, environment with intimate dining nook, generous bathroom/toilet with heated towel rail, exhaust fan and heating lights, comfortable sitting room, with reverse cycle air conditioning, complimented by a modern wood fired heater. The modern kitchen is ideal for self-catering with electric cook-top and full sized oven. Direct, access from within the garages is via a coded keypad doorway for those who seek a secure environment. The Bower offers overflow accommodation for Kings Cottage for larger family groupings.
Semi retired, having left the family farm. I live in a heritage building in Uralla (the original Uralla Literary Institute circa 1886) which has been restored, renovated and extended into a wonderful home. Enjoy the occasional stay in 5 star hotels but am equally drawn to cozy, intimate B&B cottages. I have traveled both within Australia and overseas bringing great joy with Venice and Queenstown, New Zealand being favourite overseas destinations. I enjoy good wine, good food, good surroundings and good company which has led me to hosting guests at the Bower and Kings Cottage. Listening tends towards classical music and the cricket, especially during a long drive, of which many are done.
The Bower @ Kings Cottage is situated away from the New England Highway in a quiet neighbourhood. The main shopping precinct, hotels, micro brewery is an easy 5 minute stroll away. Alma Park with picnic facilities and extensive children's playground is within 75 meters from the property. Uralla is half way between Sydney and Brisbane on the New England Highway. There is a daily rail service to and from Sydney and Armidale airport is a short 10 minute taxi ride to Uralla.
