Company info

Ara Stays is a family-owned short stay management company based right here on the Redcliffe Peninsula — five minutes from the properties we manage and proud of it. We started two years ago with a simple belief: that guests deserve better than a generic, hands-off hosting experience. Since then we have managed eight properties across the Peninsula and built a reputation for doing things properly — with care, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to making every stay exceptional. WHO WE ARE We are a small, hands-on family team backed by a trusted network of local cleaners, tradespeople and a handyman who knows our properties inside and out. When something needs doing, we do not wait — we have the right people on call and we move fast. Being local means we can be on site quickly when it matters, and our guests feel that difference. This is not a side hustle or a faceless management company running properties remotely from a spreadsheet. This is a family business where every property and every guest genuinely matters to us. WHAT WE DO DIFFERENTLY We go beyond the basics. Fresh linen, spotless presentation and a smooth check-in are the minimum — we go further. We think about the little extras that turn a good stay into a great one, because we know that the details are what guests remember and talk about. We are responsive, we are local and we are invested in getting the best possible result for both our guests and our property owners. Our guests come back. Our owners stay with us. That is the measure we care about most. If you are staying in one of our properties, you are in good hands. We are just five minutes away.

Property info

Absolute beachfront on Moreton Bay. Open the back gate — you're on the sand. The Pink Door is a characterful two-storey beach house sitting right on the water on the Redcliffe Peninsula, 35 minutes north of Brisbane. Three bedrooms, sleeps six. Hear the ocean from the kitchen and wake up to the sound of the water every single morning. On a breezy day you'll feel the spray on the windows. THE HOUSE Inside is fresh, light and comfortable with plenty of personality — original doors, pops of colour and quirky touches that give this place a feel you simply cannot manufacture. Upstairs is the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area with sweeping bay views. Downstairs opens straight onto the back deck and outdoor area, with a study nook tucked in that catches the water view — a perfect quiet spot with a coffee while the rest of the house sleeps in. One full bathroom with shower and toilet upstairs, plus a separate half bathroom downstairs. Six guests and nobody is ever queuing. OUTSIDE Outside is where The Pink Door truly comes alive. Rinse off under the hot and cold outdoor shower, then settle into one of the two day beds or the hammock strung between the trees. There is a herb garden you are welcome to use and a coconut tree out the back that actually grows coconuts. The little pink shed has seen better days — but it has stories to tell. The back gate opens straight to the sand. Moreton Island sits on the horizon. The bay is calm, flat and made for swimming — perfect floating water on a warm Queensland afternoon. The island turns gold at sunset and the view from the deck never gets old. Six beach towels provided. Carport parking for two cars.

Neighborhood info

The Redcliffe Peninsula extends into Moreton Bay about 35 kilometres north of Brisbane — one of southeast Queensland's oldest and most loved coastal communities. Not a resort, not a new development. A real Queensland beach town that has been here a long time and knows exactly what it is. THE BAY Moreton Bay is the heart of the Peninsula. Calm, protected and flat — nothing like an ocean beach. Safe swimming year-round, glassy on a still morning and breathtaking at sunset when Moreton Island turns gold on the horizon. The island is one of the largest sand islands in the world and one of Queensland's best kept secrets. Day trips run from nearby Scarborough — snorkel the wrecks, visit the wild dolphins at Tangalooma, sandboard the dunes or walk an empty beach for kilometres without seeing another soul. THE TOWN Redcliffe has a genuine, relaxed energy that cannot be manufactured. The Redcliffe Jetty is the social heart of the area — walk it at sunrise, fish off the end, sit with a coffee and watch the pelicans. The esplanade strip has great cafes, restaurants and a relaxed morning atmosphere that locals love. Weekend markets run regularly with fresh produce, handmade goods and excellent coffee. Scarborough Harbour is a short drive away — active marina, great fish and chips and spectacular afternoon light as the boats come in. For dinner there are waterfront restaurants that make the most of the bay views. FOR FAMILIES Flat, safe swimming. Esplanade bike paths. Great parks. The Peninsula is one of the most family-friendly coastal areas in southeast Queensland and the bay is as safe as it gets for young swimmers. GETTING AROUND Brisbane CBD is 35 minutes by car. Brisbane Airport is 30 minutes. Sunshine Coast is 45 minutes north. Glass House Mountains make a perfect day trip west — volcanic peaks, bush walks and sweeping views over the hinterland. The light on the Redcliffe Peninsula is something photographers and painters have chased for decades. The bay, the open sk
