A very comfortable house / unit in an amazing location near Nudgee Wetlands and beach. The house is spacious, the bedroom has an efficient wide blade fan as well as aircon, the bed was comfortable, kitchen is very well equipped, the deck (with ceiling fan) generally had a cooling breeze. A large bathroom with lots of light (big window). A large, separate laundry room which was fantastic. Many lovely little touches.
We booked this accommodation for 3 nights (and should have had a week), for easy access to the airport (about 10km) and loved it. The Wetlands are wonderful with many birds to be seen

Brisbane city is great but if you head to the mountains and tablelands it’s an even better experience. The city’s ferries are easy to use and you can see many of the sites just hopping on and off. Great for elderly people who don’t want to walk a whole city. The art galleries and museums are fantastic and the South Bank eateries are well worth trying. We loved the Emporium Terrace Bar for a lunch with a “wow” view or head to Riverside and enjoy a coffee with a view of the Story Bridge. Mt Coot-tha botanic gardens was sensational. You won’t be short of something to do in Brisbane.

Location is fantastic.
Location is fantastic.
But we had cars doing noisy smelly burnouts for an hour on Friday and Saturday night nearby.
Someone had cooked a greasy fry-up in the kitchen that was still splattered above the stove.
The host wanted an extra deposit for the property, which had nice photos, but turned out to be a Kmart furnished flat with bird poo on the balcony.
And the host is emphatic about the styling and hasn't considered the guests needs and comfort - a choice of pillows, a bed that isn't falling down, quality bathroom products, coffee pods, milk and nice tea, a kitchen cloth for the worktop, a box of tissues, a 2nd tea towel, some kitchen paper.
This is much less than a hotel, but with a price that suggests 24 hour service, quality and care, like Mon Komo or the Sebel at Sutton's Beach nearby. It is not.

Google maps does not show this property as Oxford Park, it is Everton Park. Trust google to get you there because it is a tricky series of twists and turns, but worth it. The area is a quiet, family and pet friendly. At the bottom of the road there are walking trails and we found two kids parks there. The owner is friendly and helpful.
The property has everything including sharp knives, chopping boards, full fridge, all cooking equipment and comforts.

Brisbane is looking fantastic!
Brisbane is looking fantastic! Cheap public transport; the river ferry is the best travel bargain going; 50 cents for a cruise up and down the beautiful river is a world-class tour for peanuts - amazing!
The new Star Casino is a tourists delight with spectacular views at no cost! Try the Skydeck at sundown!!!
Skip the gambling and save up for the eateries; not cheap but 'Best of Breed'; loved Fat Noodles for excellent Vietnamese. Don't miss Howard Smith Wharves under the Story Bridge for the best vibes, drinks and eateries!!!

A wonderful atmosphere overall.
A wonderful atmosphere overall. Nice restaurants, beautiful pristine beaches. I could not ask for more. Take a lovely walk along the promenade or indulge in a boat trip with some whale watching. Stop at the Belvedere for outstanding breakfast or one of the coffee shops for a great drink. I am very keen to go back and stay longer

Accommodation was clean and thoughtfully organised for practicality and comfort. Little touches such as high quality soaps and filtered water were pleasantly surprising. Phil, the host, was helpful and friendly.

We gravitated toward Southbank rather than the city centre because many people were smoking in the city. Southbank offered a more open, relaxed setting for each dining occasion. The city has greater variety, yet we turned to food delivery when we selected a city meal.

Close to both sporting fields we were playing on.
Close to both sporting fields we were playing on. Didn't get to sight see. Short drive for food and beverages.
Recommend Butcher Baker Coffeemaker Cafe for coffee/breakfast, Seafood Town, visited it twice with excellent array of fish to choose from and seafood meals deals and not overly expensive, the Belvedere Hotel meals were good.
