Location was excellent. I walked across the road to the Cenotaph and caught the 151 bus to the hospital - only 15 mins ride for 50c - I couldn't have been happier. Also, I was able to leave my luggage to be picked up after my day surgery. It is really the perfect motel for anyone requiring day surgery or visiting the hospital.

Excellent and friendly staff. From the moment we arrived we were treated better than I have been at other more expensive hotels. I have to admit I was apprehensive when my w8fe advised she had booked here. This was turned around the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. Very happy and highly recommend. Thanks Team.

Ipswich is a beautiful town full of heritage homes and buildings, and with a very good selection of cafes, restaurants and shops. Check out Rafter & Rose (breakfast is great!), antiques, and walks along the Bremer River.

Pleasant walkable city with oodles of European settler history. Beautiful heritage buildings presented with obvious pride and a vibrant information brochure full of ideas on how to enjoy the city! We loved our Indian meal in an old Bank building. The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is a really amazing asesé for the Somerset region, with the trail starting or finishing in Wulkaraka a suburb of Ipswich; Ipswich should be proud of being able to showcase the area’s natural beauty with the BRVT!

Ipswich is steeped in History, being the original choice for the Capital of the new State of Queensland in 1859. The depth of the Bremer River was seen as an impediment for shipping, so Brisbane became the Capital. Queens Park is an Oasis in the centre of the City and includes an animal enclosure with a walk through, fu;; flight Aviary. The City has a proud Rail and Coal Mining past. The Ipswich Rail Museum should be on any visitors itinerary.

I used to live in Ipswich many years ago and I am always happy to return with my family and friends as time allows. Although it’s a city, it doesn’t have all the hustle of the bigger cities. The town Parks and Gardens are a credit to all who maintain them. DRH

Second time booking at your motel this year. I like everything about your motel. Thank goodness you have comfortable mattresses, not too hard as I have spinal issues and most places have too hard mattresses. It’s great to have a place with a table, chairs and an ashtray supplied for us smokers, thank you for considering this. Will stay again when needing I need to go to Ipswich to visit relatives.

Cumquat House has a charm that simply cannot be matched. It was homely, comfortable and very beautiful. The amenities are excellent, fantastic sized room and great location. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Ipswich 😊
