A lot of thought had gone into making the unit well equipped and it had everything you need for a comfortable stay.. it even catered for people who use a wheelie walker/wheelchair. The beds were so comfortable and everything was clean, modern and tidy. The position of the unit is perfect , opposite bongaree passage and close to iga, bottle shop and bowls club. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The house is spotless, extremely well appointed, and tastefully decorated with many lovely touches in terms of decor, amenities, and foodstuffs. We enjoyed using the outdoor spaces (both front and back) to sit and eat our breakfast in the sunshine. Communication with the host Nicole was smooth from the get-go. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Bongaree is a cute little place, There is plenty to look at...

Bongaree is a cute little place, There is plenty to look at lovely views and the people seem friendly too. Stopped into the local book store, I was in awe of the selection. Could have stayed there all day. Kenilworth bakery has a massive "donut" it is 1 kg comes in a few different flavours. Definitely worth checking out Bongaree

The shops were very close by, and the seafood dinners at the Surf Lifesavers Club on the other end of the island were fantastic. It was a great winter get away from cold Canberra. Perfect weather and beautiful vistas across the ocean.

Favourite spot in Bongaree was in the shopping area on the Esplanade.. Had everything overlooking the sea/Jetty. Excellent, freshest seafood (Saviges). Clothing/Antique shops, Crystal shops, Restaurant overlooking the water. Ice creams etc. The huge Community Art Gallery in Banksia Beach where local artists present their work and crafts and the museum in Bongaree , are a must see. Walking from On The Bay Apartments along the Esplanade took around 20-30mins minutes to the shopping area. Getting around Bongaree was so easy. Plenty of car parking areas. Lots of beaches to explore around the island. RSL Club is also a great place to eat.

We are quiet family with a young child and Bongaree is just...

We are quiet family with a young child and Bongaree is just perfect for us. The local library is brilliant, we became a member and could sign out childrens resources, including a couple of toys. While we love looking at the passageway, we swim in the council heated pool (during available times). We always try to duck over to Woorim beach/surf club to grab a steak sandwich for lunch with a lovely view out to sea and Moreton Island. The canal water lock has small crabs that our daughter could watch. IGA grocery store within walking distance. Woolworths shopping centre and petrol station a short drive away. Some lovely Christmas lights to visit, and we pre-booked Santa photo at Woolworths centre. We usually arrive at our holiday stay during the evening as this avoids the Bruce Highway peak hour traffic. We try to avoid returning home on Sunday afternoon, either extend to Monday or Sunday night.

The property was fine it needs some maintenance issues fixed...

The property was fine it needs some maintenance issues fixed (like loose taps, towel rails etc.) and it needs a pest control visit as there were lots of ants and several dead cockroaches but overall it was fine The biggest issue was the pets policy which when we booked we ticked travelling with pets on Bookings.com (even though there is nothing to tell you) you have to inform the property manager about this seperately This property charges $30 per day if you travel with a pet on top of the house cost and for this cost you get nothing Beware when booking this property it should say pets are not allowed Totally spoilt our family get together

We love Bongaree.... fantastic RSL, beautiful views, very...

We love Bongaree.... fantastic RSL, beautiful views, very relaxed place to visit. The seaside museum is awesome & it's free. Great little shops, cafés, safe swimming. We have noticed that it's certainly becoming busier than it used to be.....but understandably, it's a great spot. Bongaree caravan park is a nice place to stay with cabins available too. Try to get a spot away from the main road as it will be much quieter without traffic noise.
