The Mercator, a 1930s three-masted ship, is moored in the marina and is an impressive sight, as is the neo-Gothic St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, with tall towers and distinctive stained-glass windows. Near the harbor is Fort Napoleon, built in 1811, a massive fortress with five side walls.
