This property is a typical traditional Halifax family house - filled with love, harming, inviting, and spreading a lot of nostalgia atmosphere. The owners try to keep this over 80-year-old house's original flavor as much as possible, such as its original doors, locks, lamps, etc. Guests who come here can not only have a comfortable accommodation environment, but also touch the history -to see what the middle class house looks like in the 1940s. Every room is spacious and is bathed in natural light. They all filled with nice furniture including chest, desk, chair and sofa, etc. For the comfort of our guests, we have also outfitted the house with a state-of-the-art AC system (heat pump). This is not common in this area. Generally say, here you will have a different experience than staying in a professional hotel: cozy, relax, convenient, like home.

This private/non-commercial guesthouse is hosted by a couple who have a sincere understanding of travelers. As a musician/violinist (husband), and an IT expert and fellow violin player (wife), they have traveled and worked in many countries before finally settling along the beautiful Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia. Once they journeyed out to see the world—now they open their doors to welcome the world in.

The house is located at a residential area, which is known as the heart of Halifax. Surrounded by towering century trees, the whole area is so lush and tranquil, like a natural park dotted by lovely houses . Just a few steps away, another street with great contrast appears: Quinpool - the most active road which is situated by restaurants, cinema, groceries, and the various stores. You also can easily go to downtown, garden, water front, Citadel National Historic Site, museums, universities....
