A charming historic villa in Muralto, filled with light, art, and stories. Surrounded by palms and set within easy reach of Lake Maggiore and the heart of Locarno, it offers an authentic retreat where timeworn beauty meets comfort. Lived-in, characterful, and full of books and antiques, a home for those who appreciate soul over perfection. Just 20-minute’ walk from Locarno’s old town and 10 minutes from the train station and lake, Villa dei Muralti welcomes you through an antique gate into a tranquil green garden. Private outdoor parking is available on-site, with an additional garage on request. The ground floor features a bright living room, cozy dining area for six, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and Nescafé Dolce Gusto machine. From here, step onto the terrace or into the garden for al fresco dining. A small study/bedroom with two single beds and a guest WC complete this level. Upstairs, you’ll find two double bedrooms, one with serene lake glimpses, the other with a charming balcony, plus a hallway workspace lined with books. This floor has two bathrooms: one WC with sink, and one spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and a bidet. Outside, enjoy 1,500 m² of lush Mediterranean garden and a panoramic terrace ideal for sunset aperitivos. Authentic and peaceful, Villa dei Muralti invites you to slow down and savor its timeless charm. Guests have full privacy; the entire villa and garden are exclusively yours. The small tower, accessed separately, belongs to another owner and is not part of the rental. Laundry facilities in the cantina are shared and available on request (CHF 1.20 per use). Please note there are several stairs, so the villa may not suit guests with reduced mobility or small children. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Please handle our charming home with care.
